Kingphesphestus - June 18, 2003 11:52 PM (GMT)
There too many good guys
11:5 if you count lizzies as good
Guess our diabolical cunning will have to win it for us
Drauthnir - June 18, 2003 11:58 PM (GMT)
True...
Hopefully everyone has access to opponents that are opposite in allignment.
Maelduin ab Sardis - June 19, 2003 05:20 AM (GMT)
Just to get things straight here: will we be being playing vs each other or not?
Kingphesphestus - June 19, 2003 06:03 AM (GMT)
I think its both
As for online play me and lordloverocet have been trying out this grid system and as soon as he gets back noline ill ask him if he wants to try a full battle or not to test.
Drauthnir - June 19, 2003 12:55 PM (GMT)
True, we will be playing against friends and each other if possible.
Kingphesphestus - June 19, 2003 01:24 PM (GMT)
Maelduin is unable to at the moment play a test game would anyone be interested if so post with your e-mail so i can send the program to you. also well play a skirmish first to get to grips then if all goes well full battle.
Lostvampire - June 22, 2003 05:15 AM (GMT)
I know im a little bit late but i signed up for wh palace today and your tournament seems cool. So could u make a exeption and let me join? I know u have a lack of evil armies so i will use my vc army. I will give you the armylist if i can join
Kingphesphestus - June 22, 2003 03:00 PM (GMT)
i was wondering should we get someone to do a composition score for each army?
Drauthnir - June 22, 2003 03:08 PM (GMT)
Lostvampire, this is very last minute, but you're in - we need more evil.
King, I was thinking of doing a composition score at the end, but we can do it now if you all want to. Just check the armies in their sections. I'll make a post for it now.
Scaly - June 24, 2003 02:31 PM (GMT)
If I am to play on this campaign I will need to use the online gaming system, therefore I volunteer to play guinea pig.
My Email is Fastball421@aol.com
Maelduin ab Sardis - June 24, 2003 02:51 PM (GMT)
I should ask my previous question once again: do we only play other participants, or any players we know and just enter the results? There was a discussion about this when we first thought of the idea, but I seem to have missed any conclusions we may have made...
Drauthnir - June 24, 2003 03:47 PM (GMT)
We play against people we know or at a local store and post it. Just think of it that way.
If this online method works well, we can do a finals type thing with that.
Maelduin ab Sardis - June 24, 2003 03:48 PM (GMT)
Ok, good to know. I think it'll help Scaly out too :)
Scaly - June 24, 2003 04:30 PM (GMT)
so the online game is a no go?
I probably will have to drop out then...
Drauthnir - June 25, 2003 10:43 PM (GMT)
That's quite unfortunate. I'll edit the posts.
Kingphesphestus - June 25, 2003 11:28 PM (GMT)
why cant we play online now out of curiosity?
Drauthnir - June 26, 2003 03:03 AM (GMT)
I just thought it was only ready for skirmishes at the moment. If it's all good to use for normal battles, then it's all good.
Kingphesphestus - June 26, 2003 05:11 AM (GMT)
it is still testing but if this campaign is going for a couple of months it should be fixed by then just dont remove scaly yet as there should be time for a couple of games but if it works where aloud to play right?
Scaly - June 26, 2003 05:24 AM (GMT)
Yes I will be happy to play if this all works out!
LordLoverocket - June 26, 2003 09:20 AM (GMT)
Just sort out a time and date for a game of skirmish, me and phesphestus had a really good game the other week using the grid system. This new map simulator thing is looking good for skirmish as well, if only I could get the damn thing to work. Quick one for phephestus, where am I supposed to save the hex tiles or map that you sent as it still isn't loading into the main program? (remember that I am a computer idiot)
The only real worry about the grid system is the defining of the rules used and the map reading system. The dice rolling involves an element of trust but if a 3rd person is on the boards at the same time just get him/her to resolve any throwing or combats.
Kingphesphestus - June 26, 2003 10:21 AM (GMT)
There was a problem with that original i sent delet the sms file but keep the picture files and pur them in the chess folder in the main directory of strategic map simulator.
If you put them in chess it makes sure there ok. ill send the additional sms file to you fter youve done this.
Also this program has a authentic dice roll system you type whats its for roll and its saved into the nnotes section for the other player,
