does anyone field a Blood Dragon forcee as taken from the appendix list? according to the rules you cannot field it in anything less than 2000pts (unless you play border patrol) cos you must have a wizard as your general. i have worked out a list at 2000pts with a count, 2 thralls and 32 black knights and a black coach. the nights are in units of 8 with magic banners and full command, they fight in lance formation with a vampire in the centre. one unit is character less but i was thining of dropping the coach and taking another vamp and some dire wolves. has anyone had any success with this sort of list?
I think generally most people stick to the main list, as you need your opponents consent to use any of the appendix lists.
Although I tend to frown on anyone using Blood Dragons (I'm a Strigoi player myself, and think that BD are too common), your list will do fine so long as it breaks the target units on the turn you charged. If you get held up, your army will get surrounded and systematically destroyed, as you have no support units like ghouls, wolves, bats etc, and no ranks to speak of.
Considered adding some skeletons as "men-at-arms" or similar, to provide some ranked support for the hitty knights in combat?
Cheers,

Blood dragons are a nice blood line, but I use them all except lahmians. I can do this because I have different standards for different armys so I jus swap them. The appendix list is bad and you need your opponents permision to use it so generally not worth it.
For me it's pretty clear-cut. It's illegal. Hence, I don't use it.
