Description: a little confused about some rules

Alright dudes im a little confused about the rule with thunderers and their shooting capabillity..

1) What is the advantage to thunderers? is it only the +1 to hit from short range?

2) Do they suffer from the move and fire -1 to hit?Can they march and shoot or just normal move?

sub question:Who all can move and shoot within the same turn?

+1 to hit, Armour Piercing, Move and Fire.

Yes, they get the -1, and no, they can't march. They follow all the normal shooting rules.

In the dwarf army? Thunderers and characters with pistols/handguns. Oh, and Gyros.

Only +1 to hit at short range though

So for example can elf archers move and shoot?

and if my thunderers were to move and shoot and the enemy was more then 12inches away than it would be -2 to hit therefore id need to roll 6's??

In the BRB, handguns are a "move-or-fire" weapon. So for instance, Empire handgunners can not move and fire in the same turn. The only other weapon (as far as I know) with this rule is the Crossbow. However, as Vriish has said, one of the advantages of having a dwarf handgun rather than a regular handgun, is that you can move (not march) and shoot in the same turn.

Elf Archers can move (bit not march) and shoot, as the bows they are armed with do not have the "move-or-fire" rule associated with regular handguns and crossbows.

You are correct with regards to your thunderers moving and shooting at a target over 12" away.

Cheers,
DLJ
