Title: 1500 skaven army
Description: what do you think?
gorod - May 10, 2004 12:21 AM (GMT)
hey all, I'm new here, but I'm good friends with a guy by the name of Lucius, anyone know him?
Anyway, here's my 1500 point army, it's mostly combat with a few weapons teams. My biggest problem is lack of staying power, but that's ok seeing as all my units are small enough for me to not care if they get smashed and large enough to actually do some damage.
Take a look :)

If I really want to, I can switch my Engineer's second dispell scroll for the hatred banner on my monks, but I've been toyed with far too many times with it (mainly by Lucius) that I decided to take it out and use it on special occasions (like empire infantry weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!)
Tell me what you think

First...
a) Take a bsb just in case you lose the combat resolution. Check out my list to see what I mean.(it's around here somewhere)
B) Then..one giant rat pack is not going to do any good so drop it, and I believe 10 is the minimum unit strenght for Night Runners but as I've not got the book with me I'm not sure.
c) 24 strikes me as not much. Try to take 30 at least with slaves and 30 CR's would be nice. Personally I'd not take the Warpfire Thrower, but's that just me.
d) Lastly I see nothing for walking tin-cans such as Ironbreakers and 2+ AS Knights. Even Plaguemonks ain't gonna survive long against that
Other than that...I like the list, it packs quite a punch just watch out for high AS's.

heh, now that I think about it, that 1 pack hasn't really done anything...
The BSB is actually a pretty good idea, I might do something with it...
The minimum unit size for night runners is 5
and i usually rely on rattling guns, globes and 2x 2d6 str 5 hits to wipe the cans, also giving the plague priest the gouger instead of the setup above helps lots
Thx F'lar
anyone else?

Awesome
Someone who uses Clan Pestilens!!!
Nah dont giv ur monks the banner of hatred
find 10 more points and giv dem the Umbranner
send them into combat without having to worry about missile fire, its a sure n u will demolish almost any unit.
when ur army grows think about a chieftain and stormvermin instead of the warlock engineer

i personaly dont like engeneers but its up to u. i agree u should pump ur cls and slaves up to 30 models per unit. u might wanna split the globidiers up into 2 groups of 4. Get jezzails too!
