well alot of my friends play fantasy and 40k and i thought i might start, but im unsure of which race to play as...
i've narrowed it down to the above choices
what is good about them??

I need help, any would be appreciated

Well honestly I'd suggest the Black Templars instead cuz those others with exeption to chaos are not newbie friendly while the templar you get a few special rules that help alot really simple to use and are great in cc and ranged combat.

now sorry about asking dumb qestions but im confused about dark templars, are they the same as ultramarines or are they completely different, because i kind of like ultramarines

well i play mostly fantisy, but i have a small tau force. The dark eldar r cool cause deh are really fast and have decent fire power. I lik daswoop bikes and the big swoop bikes. Necrons r also cool B)

what about orks???

Necrons are expenisve in points cheap to collect don't have versatility ie you only play them in one style limited paint jobs,, excellent mid range firefighters and decent in hth

BA are marines who have an advantege in hth not as much say as Orks or a totally dedicated Khorne army but this is offset by the fact they still have lots of firepower, again rather cheap (most being plastic) but allow for better customisation, can be painted any colour though red naturally suits them

Dark eldar are being put off the shelves until they get redone IIRC so don't collect them

Nurgle are kinda like necrons though slightly more customisable (ie they can be made in to hth and mid firefight rather then just one) lots of conversions, and the new models look nice (?if you can say that for a diseased guy?) :lol:

choice is yours in the end prehaps tell us what you want from the army and I'll give more advice

well i play O&G in fantasy so i guess tell me about ORKS :D

Orks need an update so do not start them. I would go for chaos as they are cool an you can add some real good conversions
