Title: wight lords?
Description: does anyone use them?

i have recently studied my army book really hard and i was wondering, does anyone use wight lords, i reckon i would use them for their high leader ship and killblow on a 5+ and with a 1+ AS in CC thanks to heavy armour and the enchanted shield and a 6+ ward, because a shield offer an extra +1 to amour save in close combat,
please correct me if i am wrong,
by the way, my local GWshop doesn't sell wight lords can anyone tell me what kinda model would look like a wight lord if you swint your eyes?

A mildly converted heavily-armoured model (of any sort really) could easily look like a wight lord if painted correctly.
I'd only use wight lords in a Blood Dragon or Von Carstein army, as they match the theme the best....or perhaps in a Strigoi army as a powerful ghoul-king. That'd be neat.

i was thinking about getting a plague bearer of nurgle (in rule book) as one and just shoving a chaos shield and it, pianting it in silver and it's face and teeth bone

If either the shield or hand weapon is magical, you don't gain the additional +1 in close combat due to having a shield+hand weapon combination.

I wouldn't use the Plaguebearer, unless it was very, very heavily converted. A Plaguebearer looks like a Plagubearer, nothing like a Wight Lord.
There should be a model available for a mounted Wight Lord at GW stores. I've seen one. If you can't get it there, order it from GW Mail Order. The Grave Guard unit champion also makes a good Wight Lord on foot.
The Sword of Kings is a very powerful weapon for its points. The ability to kill outright with a third of your wounding hits is very useful indeed. Unfortunately, I don't have the points or character slots in my current army list to fit in one of these guys.

are you sure about the shield thhing? it is still a hand weapon and a shield no matta wat kind it is

I'm positive about the sword and shield thing. They aren't still just hand weapons and shields. They are magical and have completely different properties. Both items would have to have "functions as a normal shield/hand weapon" written in their descriptions for it to work like that. Neither does.
