I would combine the 2 groups of horrors as any unit of 10 isn't very good. Also, I would suggest getting rid of the Aspiring Champion and adding more Rank and File troops like adding to the unit of warriors since 12 of them aren't really good.

The horrors are only there for their bound spells, and 10 horrors can cast corruscation of energy as well as 20 horrors. As for the warriors....i'll consider it, but really they aren't intended to be a substantial unit, just a sort of body gaurd for my magic.

That chariot won't last long against any Dwarven or Empire armies, be wary it does carry a 200 odd point hero on it. If the Horrors are attacked by all but the most pathetic of foes I don't see them surviving long, even if Daemonic Instability wasn't a problem. Your army is standing on a knife's edge, if things go your way magically you can very easily annihilate your opponent. Should things not favour you, your army doesn't stand a chance. Wish you luck.

look out for high elves, is all I can say, they will shut you down magically.

They'll significantly out number him as well which is a really depressing thought.

Yeah, that doesn't happen that often :D

Isn't your army very vulnerable to shooting? I mean VERY vulnerable to shooting? Even if you cast the yellow flames, it can be dispelled in the opposing turn, something you can't counter in any way, and you have nothing that likes being shot at... Those 10 horrors will be so many pincushions in no time, and against a canny opponent, your warriors will never make it, or they'll get charged by some heavy cav and broken. Bump up those numbers!!

Ghanacc - May 2, 2003 04:54 PM (GMT)
My main shooty defense is Indigo fire, backed up by my fliers. Indigo fire, in case you dont know, does S2 or S3, I'm not sure at the moment the chaos book isnt handy, hit against everyone in the unit, and all that die become horrors. Even if they are killed in the next CC phase, that completely destroys that regiment's shooting phase and, statistically, I'll get indigo fire once or twice from my sorcerers. Also, sinse shooters are notoriosly weak, my flyers could attack them rather well.

Well I suppose there IS a first time for everything <_<

You place an awful lot pressure on your flyers to be able to deal with alot of problems. Elves especially have quite a number of missile troops, and flyers aren't the most durable of units. A smart player would try and cripple your flyers first, being IMO the most potent part of your army.

Arch-Seer - May 25, 2003 01:41 AM (GMT)
I rather like the army. My only change would be having your hero in the chariot.
