Title: Upgraded Hydras
Description: Do you use them?

Drauthnir - May 23, 2003 01:08 AM (GMT)
Does anyone use the upgraded super-Hydras in the annual (also seen in past White Dwarf). If you do, which one do you use and why?

Tombguard321 - May 23, 2003 08:52 AM (GMT)
i would use the war Hydra (the one with the tyranids parts) as it is a very cool model and would look nasty on the battlefield

I just bring the good ole hydra. Personally I think thats Alot of points already.

I would just use the regular hydra that is slightly converted to resemble the upgraded ones so that if I choose to do so, I could use it as an upgraded one on occasion.

Drauthnir - May 23, 2003 08:58 PM (GMT)
Yeah, if I had one, it would be normal too. Do you need permission to use the upgrades?

upgraded hydra?? whats upgraded about it

Basically, the Royal War Hydra gets a 3+ save instead of 4+. I have no idea what the Spellthirster War Hydra does. The Veteran War Hydra can do a bunch of really cool things. Read it in the Army Builder trial. (Download it from Kazaa)

the spell thrister gets a magic resistance of 1 or 2 for any magic aimed at them

That's pretty cool. It says that they require a level 2 Sorcerer to be in the game for the Hydra to become a Spellthirster. In my mind, the best is the Veteran. He can do a bunch of really cool things with bonuses (only one special thing per turn).

Hey uh Moonshadow (lol) where do u get the updated version of army builder. Mine is wierd, like it only has elves, stunties, adn tree huggers???

Moonshadow - May 28, 2003 11:35 PM (GMT)
Oh, what you need to do is this: When you enter, click the option "Locate File". Then download the latest version of Warhammer Fantasy, and say "Download". Once you're done, you can use it all you want. The only thing about the trial version that really really SUCKS is that you can only make an army up to 500 points. It's good for calculating single character and unit points though.

The official site of the army builder is www.wolflair.com
It is far easier to get the newest army builder files there under supplemental downloads
