Hey im kinda new to the game, i know about it but i have never played a game in my life.
I want to start collecting a races ASAP so after going through the elf races, as i am a fan of elves i decided to go with the WE partly based on the fact that the dryads and waywatchers look awsome and they seem to be more defensive then offensive (correct me if im wrong) and alot more stratergy is involved as ive ead in other forums.
But what i want to know is, are they a good first time race, both commanding and painting?
But as i've read above should i wait till the 6th edition book is released as seems the case or start collecting now.
The only problem is half the army looks awsome and the other half looks gay.
Like the archers, they look like dwarves in clokes and the wardancers look like there from Lord Of the Dance and the helmets on the heros look rediculous (hence why ill use legolas as my hero.
So yeah what do u think, and i really only wanna collect 1 army not waste 100's of dollas on a race ill never use again
but as for a first time choice?

if you like some of the actual models begin collecting and painting them...after all you can get more time in doing a good painting job waiting for the book to come out then when the new archers models will be out you can complete your army with them...(and you also save some time because you only have to paint the other half of the army...)
