After days of traveling on a rocking and tossing ship, you find yourself in the grand city of Lar'tar, City of Eyes. The city holds many housings. A mystical mage seems to be selling items down the road from the dock; a large, tanned man is shouting about his newest armour and weapons that can withstand any blow about 5 blocks North; another person, seemlingly a common shopkeeper, holding up wriggling fish and a small, brown meat. Other than these, only a few beggers and a couple wandering people and sailors roam the docks. You look around you to the other adventures gathering off of the ship, and make your way to _______.

Well, I live over here in the US, so we have the split times.

Hey, what's going on. There hasn't been any movement for a few days now. Am I missing something?

Sorry, I surprisingly wasn't home all weekend. When I did have time to check here, no one had PMed anything. Campaign will start today.

(Though I still have a little private actions going, here it goes)


As you all finish your errands after weeks of sea travel, a lowley man approaches your cohort, asking for aid. "They got him!" he yells. "They took it all" he mumbles. "Please help! I am the only one left."

(Hint: this is where you respond.)

Ixil asks "Old man, what are you talking about?"

The man stumbles as he approaches you in a run. He is obviously in pain when you reach him, but he speaks nontheless. "The elves...they killed...all gone." He stutters, then drops his head.

OOC: Is this campaign taking place before the war of the beard started, or has it begun already?

This is happening directly before the war begins.

Storn pushes through the crowd of onlookers and stops in front of the wounded man.
"What'd the elves do, now? We've been trading with them for years, an while they've never had enough respect for good hard work, they've never attacked innocent people..."

The man slowly pulls his head up, and using his gashed arm, points towards the west, where smoke was rising from the treetops.

Storn turns and walks as quickly as he can towards the smoke. As he walks, he pulls his battleaxe out with one hand, and a hunk of meat with the other.

Storn charges headlong inot the treeline, secretly hoping that his comrads will follow. As he closes in on the smoke, the sound of metal apon metal ring his ears.

OOC: I'm assuming we're going to wait for others to respond now?

Ixil says in an appropriately mysterious voice,
"The prophecy is coming true," he bows his head "I must do the will of the Slann"
He pulls his blowpipe and sprints off after the dwarf.

Slowly following in the Dwarf, (thinking to himself) how dare the dwarf blame my race for these crimes, there has to be more to this then meets the eye- slowly drawing out sword as he runs after the dwarf with his blade at his side he decides to take his own route to the encampment and side out himself whats taking place within its cursed placements

while out lokking for something to test his new rune on he stunmbles onto the fight.

As the group enters the ring of cleared trees, a deafening sound of death stirs the weapons of the cohort. A horde of glistening Phoenix armour is sweeping over the obvious dwarven men, who are falling by the dozen. Metal apon metal is now the apparent reason for the great sound, and you are soon swept into the battle, only trying to defend yourself in the chaos.

(Please direct if you will help the dwarves or elves. The dwarves must help the dwarves, the elves must help the elves.)

licking the length of his blade, he charges headlong to help the elves defend themselves making his way towards the elven commander

As Illunous raced to the elven commander, quite obvious in the chaos, his glittering armour still shining over the black blood, he noticed that the elves surronding him glared at his odd self for some time before returning to the battle. Illunous stumbled when his mind clicked, sturring his memory; Druchii.

Darting left to right avoiding the blows of the Dark elves, he draws his sword to parry the blow which otherwise would behead him, retracing his steps he backs himself against the tree to guard his back and hopes a miracle would correct his mistake he made

All of the elves are Druchii slaves.

sensing that no help would arrive he decides the best defensive would to attack them while protecting himself from numbers drawing his sword he attacks one of the dark elves

Shocked at this apparent betrayal Kurdan rush into the battle attempting to get to the commander and finish him off

Thinking to himselve that if he can pull enough away from the dwarves and shatter them

"So this is how it starts" whispers Ixil.

Raising his blowpipe Ixil fires a volley of poisonous darts into the twisted elves, praying to Sotek and the Old Ones for their wisdom.

OOC: Sorry, when you guys are on, it is in the middle of the school day for me. I got off early today (we have Open day on the weekend) so this is why I am on now.

Storn charges into the thick of the melee, swinging his axe at any elf who comes too close.

A deafening screech fills the air, as a group of elves fills the treelines behind the condensed group. You now have no choice but to fight your way out.
