I would like anyone who has an article they'd like in the first one to post here that they do.
Also any volunteers for the first battle report will be welcomed.

Well, me and Xris play together, so we could probably put something together for a BR.

I'll write an article on scouts as promised.

I have a battle on the Sunday after next. If that's not too late I could make that into a BR, it has some story-friendly elements - big magic, big monsters, and a very good tactician as an opponent. Only problem is that he's not a WHP member...

LordChilipepa, This is not a problem as it is easily sorted. First of all is there anychance this friend of yours can sign up? If that answers a no then post your friends name as his general of his army and write it up as if your General is talking about.

Also how come there is so few writing up on the articles, considering there was alot of people who had signed up beforehand?

No, I don't think he'd sign up. However, it's not a problem in terms of writing the report, I just thought you'd prefer BRs to be between WHP members.

Is there any problem with the time? Sunday after next.

For the Battle Report: Me and Xris are going to be playing a game tomorrow that we can write a report on. It'll be relatively small, which might be suiting to the launch issue, and we'll both be playing our first game with a new army, adding some more potential interest.

Not to say that LordChilipepa shouldn't write his, as it could be included in the next one, and I'm looking forward to reading it. ;)

Vriishnak and I are going to try out our new armies in a small game on Thursday. My Tomb Kings against his Night Goblins. 750 points for each side.

Ooh, new idea. Since we're both basically starting the army from scratch, we could do a series of 'A tale of gamers' style articles about how they develop and grow, and much slower, get painted. ;)

It could be a monthly article, accompanied by occasional battle reports and, assuming we can get a working digicam, pics.

Article one= maelduin on scouts
battle report vrishnaak & xris, they posted first, and are signed up members of the mag so they get preference.

Though how many points is yours if it is not to big then we could maybe fit in two.

Actually, it's shaping up to be a really even fight; I've got numbers, but I'm not expecting to ever hit on better than a 6, seeing as it's a fear test to charge (always fail) and a fear test to take the charge without needing 6's (again, failed.)
Ah, the downsides to playing an army where your general is Ld6. :D

can i give you an idea? (i cannot do it myself because i'm not so skilled at english)but why don't you do a campaign based on more battles and then write one each time on the Herald?

How about the winner of the Special character competition gets featured and that if you want I can include my convertion of my Dragon Orge Shaggoth, well it is complete ??

Ok Im instituting a ead line of the 15 march for all article ideas and submissions to be put forward, a further week later will be deadline to have the article e-mailed in and well try and get it released a week later.

Do you mean like the fluff and rules for your character? if so thats ine, could even make it a regular feature, new rules and units ect.

I have him finished only just but I have also lost internet connection at my home address so I need to find a way to upload the pictures of it. May find a way of doing so later this week.

I've finsihed my article on tournament army list makeing things, it's not that good but ok for a first go I think.

Would any of the proof readers like to edit it.

I'm guessing a word document would be the handiest. Do you want to have it checked just for spelling or for style too?

My article is done too, so I'll be needing one or more quinea pigs - oh sorry proof readers for that too. :D

Something which has just crossed my mind is that we'll still need an editorial too. I'm guessing right now the honours should go to Moonshadow or KingPhesphestus, what do you guys think of this?

As an editor I think maybe Kingphesphestus should be it, being as it was his idea. So he gets my vote.

I'd be happy to proof read as well. I'll split it with King Ulkrik. Either article will do for me. Are we just correcting spelling/grammar, or are we giving feedback on additional stuff that could be included in the article?

From what i understand the magazine is just fantasy now so you would have to ask whoever is in charge about that.

surely the easiest format for transferal will be .txt... multi compatibility, plus smaller file?

Yes its still the hopeful release date.

It is the 22nd as you know the articles should be finished by now so that giles can convert it.

I have finished my conversion, it's in conversion section however I expect a written piece is needed.

thats up to you if you'd like to do one then you should probably include just one finished picture with the article, I wasn't sure you were still going to do one thats why i had the ? marks next to you..

I will do one but it will prob need to be re-written as my english skills leave little to be desired maybe if Maelduin or King Ulrik want to proof read or re write certain bit then that will be good.
