Description: I need Help!
Devastator - February 18, 2004 11:06 PM (GMT)
Ok look i am trying to make a night elves army for warhammer using wood elf army list.
But i need some help. i need to find some models of them or even a way to convert them. Pease help me. i want NE archers as WE archers. Huntressers as Glaide riders.
Priestess of the moon as my lord with the bow of Lorien i think it is. and the treeman as an uprotted ancient protector. Dryads as tree-ents.
so i need models that can forfill these. so i need panthers and huntresses for the glaide riders mostly.
Thank you for your time.

I love Night Elves too.
Firstly I'd say for the archers and stuff don't bother converting much. Just paint them darker (Night like) and fashion breasts out of green stuff to make them look female.
Priestess of the moon would be difficult. Perhaps convert a centigor to be a Keeper of the Grove...
Just use a treeman model as the protector, but shove a big rock in one of his hands.
Dryads as treants would be good, and would be especially good if you used the keeper of the grove instead of priestess. Otherwise how would u get them?
I'm not sure about huntresses, sorry

What about the LOTR model of treeman it looks so much better....

What about using some middhiem moddels. Use dogs as the panthers.
I agree. Use some LOTR stuff aswell.

Great idea. Maybe High Elf players should make a high elf army and Dakr elf players a Blood elf army (the black guard command does look like a blood mage). Before I start spewing suggestions, these are all conversion ideas, so would therefore cost time and money. But these ideas cover alot of units in your armies. Here we go:
My suggestion would be to use regular archers as stated. For huntresses, consider using either the warg, mordhiem dog, or one of the Orc's mounts as a panther. For the rider itself, my suggestion is Daemonette riders with greenstuff aplenty (armor, hair). Priestess would follow same concept, except maybe throw some more money into it to get a cooler set of armor and bow or something. Wardancers, if your wanted to use them, could be demon hunters (they're heros in WCIII, but that is in my opinion the best conversion for Wardancers). Maybe add a KotG as a BSB if you have any lesser heros and add him to a Glade runner unit of Dryads (maybe? it could be cool). Also, for a Lord or general on foot, consider a warden modeled from the Dark Elf Chariot driver with different arms. Talons and Claws don't fit the theme too well, though they could potentially be wardancers I guess. If you plan to add eagles, those are gonna be best as hippogriffs (not sure on the conversion- maybe eagle head, some form of small lion-like body (maybe old maticore) and them eagle wings). Eagle archers become Hippogriff archers. Just some Ideas I'm bouncing around in my head, hope it helps some.
