Description: blasted blisters!!

Why do GW sell ironbreakers and such in blisters instead of box's. I mean the empire greatswords come in box's. Anyways... just wondering if anyone acctually converted their own unit of ironbreakers from a box of regular warriors. :D

Becasue my misguided friend, GW has only but a few months ago started releasing the special units in boxes...you should be a bit more patiant, the boxes ar on their way! :D

There is no way that GW are going to release something like the metal ironbreakers in box form. They are too much of a specialist option with some forces only taking 10 of them and others taking 100. The cost of these boxes would also be prohibitive with a box of 10 inc cmd working out at about17-18 pounds. What is the point when you can just add more blisters to your basic unit whenever you need them without having to fork out for 10 inc cmd all the time. With the plastics you have the option to have the cmd or not as well as different weapon and unit combinations so it makes monetary sense to buy and sell in boxed form. As for converting, why bother? Just be thankful that you can get such a characterful unit of models whereas in the last edition you had a woeful amount certain models available, I'm just grateful for what I can get.

My apologies, it seems there are no depths to the business ethics of GW. You cant even see if the models are complete and with my experience of opening boxed sets I'd be doing it in the shop. It seems like there is always something missing! Enough about that, GW mail order responded superbly and all was right in the end. But you can't see the state of the models or the flash condition or clones or anything.AAAAAAGH. When I checked the boxed sets weren't on the UK mail order hence the earlier presumptive mistake, does anyone know if this is just happening in the states or worldwide?

I don't know about worldwide, but it's in Canada too. On the plus side, command is still seperate, so we won't end up with a million extra standard bearers lying around.
