Given that GW have a reputation for making each progressive army book harder than the next, what new runes would you like to see in the next addition of the game, (might as well start planning now.)
Balanced runes with good names and a points value will be added to my own unofficial armoury whilst unbalanced runes with appropriate points values will also be considered.
For example, Master Rune of the Loverocket forces any model within 3 inches of the bearer to take a ldrshp test at -1 at the start of the dwarves turn. If the test is failed the model develops an affinity for anything short, fat and hairy and may be controlled by the dwarf player for the duration of the dwarf turn. Control reverts back to the original player at the start of his turn. Does not work on models immune to psychology. Enemies may target themselves with attacks, spells, missile attacks etc if not already in cc.

Yes but I think that anything that bears the name of Grimnir has to be especially powerful. How about that the Master rune f Grimnir is a jealous rune so no other weapon runes allowed on character. The bearer of the rune swells with an unearthly power as the consciousness of the dwarf king Grimnir takes possession of this vessel, the bearer of this rune fights with +2 attacks at +2 str with add-2 to arm saves,any unsaved wounds doubled. Againt chaos no ward saves allowed. Have that for 100pts. Characterful, yes, powerful, yes, balanced, probably not but who says things have to be balanced so long as we dont go too far.

I had a few of those rules i was going to add but as you said a little unbalanced also would the armour save modifier be after strength or before?
And why where at it lets make three god items, using current runes and extras to fill in the gaps. One for grimnir,valayaand of course grungni

Thinking about it it would mean he was fighting with an effective st 8 regarding arm saves, poss overdone it a bit there. <_<

How about M rune of Valaya. Adds mr2 to the bearer and any unit he is with, if spell is dispelled the bearer can try choose to either destroy the spell on 4+ (erasing it from casters mind) or reflect it back onto a target within original spells range also on a 4+. Rune only has enough power for 2 attempts at either power in 1 game 110 pts.

I think the valaya should have at least one dipel irisistable force a game.

Ignores all Armour and Ward Saves. Alwasy Strikes last. Makes Weapon two handed! that should be reasonably balanced, maybe decline some stat? :lol:

With a name like Blue beard maybe the bearer should have a hatred of women like the infamous bluebeard who killed all his wives.

Consider that dwarves probably think that anything without facial hair is a bit effeminate, even dragons so why not have a model equipped with the M Rune of Bluebeard hit all enemy models without a beard on a 2+.
