Title: Dwarfs

Lord Durin - April 28, 2003 11:50 PM (GMT)
Well, I guess I'm the only dwarf player here. Might as well sit around and sip my beer.

Moonshadow - April 28, 2003 11:51 PM (GMT)
Welcome Lord Durin! You're the only Dwarf player so far, but there will probably be more to come. For now, post what you want and once the other Dwarf players come, they will reply.

LordQupaqoqo - April 29, 2003 12:01 AM (GMT)
I also play Dwarfs. Granted, they have curled beards and worship giant bulls, but that doesn't matter, does it? :D

rockisdead - April 29, 2003 01:08 AM (GMT)
I play dwarves also, but not with flame cannons. I have had the worst luck with them.

Lord Durin - April 29, 2003 01:22 AM (GMT)
Well I guess I've got myself some drinking buddies. Guess I'll go and post my army list.

Scaly - April 29, 2003 03:33 AM (GMT)
Flamebeard is here as well. Brothers in arms!

LordLoverocket - April 29, 2003 04:15 PM (GMT)
Add another brother to the master race. Behold, Lord Loverocket has entered the sacred hallows of the dwarf stronghold. My eyes would be filling up with tears of happiness if we dwarves went in for all that girly-elf emotion. I have played with dwarves (ooer) for a number of years now and have amassed a number of the vertically challenged amigos. My favourite units being my Ironbreakers and Hammerers, always dependable.
I just thought I'd open up with a question to you established players, " what do you miss most from the 5th ed dwarf army book?" Myself, I miss the Curse rune, the ability to reduce a devastating character into a strengh 1, toughness 1 plaything ( and the look on your opponents face) was priceless. :D

Ozru'Shan - May 1, 2003 02:12 AM (GMT)
BOW BEFORE THE MIGHT OF THE ELVES HONOURLESS ONES!! Your armies killed our sleeping soldiers during the war of the beard, you would not listen to reason, you stole the crown of our kings head, now we will parade the streetd with your overweight skins!

Kingphesphestus - May 1, 2003 12:58 PM (GMT)
Please your race started the war and we finished it forget about the crown your never getting it back, Dont believeme two races blame them, dwarfs and dark elves.

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 01:02 PM (GMT)
Time will forget the elves. They are just a blink in the eye of time. They have a right to show off their foppish arrogance as they have cavortled with the deamons. Their numbers are dwindling and soon they will be just a memory with the only memories of their race being kept in the Book of Grudges. Do not show anger towards them but pity them. As the last elf stands before the king under the stone begging for assistance we shall begin reading from the book. Only when the last grudge has been atoned for will we listen to his plea. We have time in front of us. We are strong. We are Dwarves.

Kingphesphestus - May 2, 2003 01:04 PM (GMT)
well said We are entering our golden age as we speak while thaya re in there autumn years. B)

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 01:19 PM (GMT)
Whoa, what an image. The golden age of the dwarf. We do not carve stone, we are stone. Dwarves endure. We cannot create mountains, we are the mountains.

Kingphesphestus - May 2, 2003 01:22 PM (GMT)
I dont follow are you saying yuo agree with me B)

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 01:56 PM (GMT)
I couldn't agree more. The overwhelming emotion accorded by your vision of the glory of the dwarven empire must have affected my normally stoic temperament. The dwarves can rebuild, we are not a fragile race. I was just comparing the dwarven race to some of natures more enduring monuments ie the mountains. I suppose using the same comparison would be like comparing the elven race to a sandcastle with the tide rapidly coming in. Hope that clears it up my friend. :)

Kingphesphestus - May 2, 2003 02:03 PM (GMT)
Sorry its late here and im not thinking clearly Ilike your comparison between sandcastles and elves it just seems to fit considering ulthuan B)

No Fake - May 2, 2003 02:34 PM (GMT)
The dwarfs started it? Foolish brother, it was but a slight work of us, the true followers of Malekith! Did you really think that the dwarfs had the intelligence for such an act? Truely you are mislead, brother <_<

Kingphesphestus - May 2, 2003 02:37 PM (GMT)
Who said we started it

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 02:47 PM (GMT)
Another impetuous elf who has commented without thinking,( or reading the thread) no doubt another contender for the book of grudges or just my big shiny axe. One elf is the same as the next, they all bleed the same colour anyway. hehehe

Kingphesphestus - May 2, 2003 02:51 PM (GMT)
You use an ax? i find hammers more effective heh B)

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 02:55 PM (GMT)
You probably wouldn't need a weapon as you could just take the micky out of their dresses and they'd run off crying like the skirt wearing girls that they are.

Kingphesphestus - May 2, 2003 03:04 PM (GMT)
Elf bashing should be an olympic sport, its so much fun, Wonder what would happen if an elf walked in.
Of course as long as we dont mark the post fall fashions it should be ok

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 03:30 PM (GMT)
If an elf did turn up it wouldn't understand the humour (under its head) and would probably end up trying to justify make up on men before rushing home to brush his hair so he looked nice when the dwarves killed him.

No Fake - May 2, 2003 03:38 PM (GMT)
althought all this only happens to high and wood elves... thats why dark elves fear the phoenix guard! Who wouldn't?

Dark Elf Warrior ot Noble

"Sir, those HE are scary"

"Nonsense, they are only t.... Sweet Khaine, you are right! Just look at that haistyle, and those clothes! How the hell am I supposed to touch those mega clean pansyes?!!?"

lol :D

No Fake - May 2, 2003 03:38 PM (GMT)
Oh, and I'm a Dark Elf, but never mind me, Dark Elves are jsut wholly different to other elves :)

LordLoverocket - May 2, 2003 03:49 PM (GMT)
No, thats what dark elves should be, full of wholes. You dark elves are worse, you get your women drugged up and then let them do the fighting whilst you stay in your beds pleasuring any deamon that appears. Thats all the dark elves are, high elves that have listened to a few Smiths albums and watched the Crow and gone gothic.

Kingphesphestus - May 3, 2003 12:02 AM (GMT)
where dark elves where ok I don't think so An elf an elf? B)

LordLoverocket - May 3, 2003 09:12 AM (GMT)
Exactly, an elfs an elf whether he makes love to trees, to deamons or just to his own reflection, they are all just the same.

No Fake - May 3, 2003 10:58 AM (GMT)
Pitiful thoughts of men  ...only Morathi would do anything with daemons :P

No Fake - May 3, 2003 11:00 AM (GMT)
And men are even worse, they do all sorts of things in all sorts of combinations, hows about a necrofiliac pedofilic tree huggin' corrupted priest of Sigmar? :P

LordLoverocket - May 3, 2003 11:25 AM (GMT)
QUOTE
Only Morathi would do anything with demons

the whole dark elf race has been corrupted by slaanesh. Good point about men though.

No Fake - May 3, 2003 03:42 PM (GMT)
Most of it, but not the whole race, mind you that Khaine is the oficial God, Slaanesh is an outlawed cult! :D

LordLoverocket - May 3, 2003 05:18 PM (GMT)
O.K. I stand corrected, I'm not exactly aware of which demon is fashionable to worship for this season in dark elf land so I'll bow to your superior elven knowledge. ;)

No Fake - May 3, 2003 05:57 PM (GMT)
Quite alright :)

LordLoverocket - May 4, 2003 04:50 PM (GMT)
Not that anyone in their right mind would want to know anything about the girly, hairdressing, makeup wearing, knitting champion mincers of the warhammer world. But well done anyway. On a more serious note , which side of the fence do you sit on regarding the revision lists? What do you recommend gets changed if anything. I'll come onto your forum if you want as its getting a bit smelly in here with your girly elven fragrance. What you want is a proper smell, a smell like you've done a bit of work, none of this perfume wearing malarchy. In my day etc, etc

No Fake - May 4, 2003 05:07 PM (GMT)
Actually I use "Le Raped Souls of le Khaine" deodorant :)
Them pansy High Elfs like "Nice summer flowers with honey" fragrances :D

The Revision? I think its great, not that I really need any help with my army, Dark Riders do the job for me. Believe me, fast cavalry is the best unit in the game! The Revision will just help me out (and the newcomers, mind you) a little, there are only some minor magic items changes/aditions :)

LordLoverocket - May 4, 2003 05:21 PM (GMT)
I can see both sides of the argument really. Its good that GW takes note of the feedback and is willing to listen in the form of a revision, but also the dark elf armies really should have just had to make do with their pros and cons. I mean at least they have had their official army book for some time and they whinge about it, probably pissing a lot of Brett, WE, CD, B-men collectors off who are still looking forlornly at release dates.
I agree about the fast cav though, although I can only look on in envy. Maybe in the dwarf revision :D , just kidding!!!

Ozru'Shan - May 4, 2003 08:50 PM (GMT)
WOAH if werew the pansys then why do we get the good island and u just get your ass kicked by shadow warriors eh??

LordLoverocket - May 4, 2003 09:20 PM (GMT)
Now ,now. This isn't the time or place to be swapping insults about the elves. Hang on a minute, what am I saying, any time or place is good for elf baiting. Go for it girls. Elven handbags at dawn. :D

Ozru'Shan - May 4, 2003 09:23 PM (GMT)
HEY jewel theif, at least we dont steal the crowns off dead kings heads

LordLoverocket - May 4, 2003 09:44 PM (GMT)
If you are refering to that glorious moment in dwarf history when King Gotrek removed not only the phoenix crown but also the kings head with it, then we didn't steal it. It was the only thing that you elves had got that was anywhere near the value of a dwarves honour. Anyway, Caledor the second was a bumbling incompetent, no wonder then that your council of princes made him the phoenix king, no great loss.
