What do you guys think the new WE are gonna be like, i hope the models are cool but i dont like shooty armies exept good old scryreMAHAHHAHA*BOOM*

The new Wood Elves are going to be the best shooty race ever. If they still have the same rules (no penalties for long range or moving), then they'll be awesome! I hope their models are really cool.

I hope they get an ambush-type rule. They of all races should have it. The new models should be really cool. Do you guys want them to look feral or more like High Elves with leaf cloaks?

i want a more druidic feel man, i think they should introduce werebears/tigers

Yeah, one of their heroes should be a Druid, and they should have a Druidic sphere of magic.

Now that you mention it, a druid would be really cool. He could be like a priest of Sigmar, having his own small (was it 4 spells he has?) lore. He could have animal aspects like that werebear or tiger as a good alternative. Do you think they'll get their own lore, or get stuck with life and beasts (which aren't horrible ;) )?

I think they need more centaurs, less dryads

Whatever they get they will need some kind of armour piercing capability without destroying their balance and turning them into some uber no penalties for moving and longrange, magic arrowed,skirmishing, always in cover, trap laying were creature for 11pts. Which would be nice but just to see all the wood elf haters keel over in shock.

Right now they have armour piercing (-1 save) at short range, which is pretty nasty. And don't forget their magical bows, javelins, and arrows...

I hope they keep that rule in the new book as it gives the basic troop something to keep the armour lovers worried without having to resort to heroes and magic.

they ahd better make wardance3rs cool this time, or replqace them with shapeshifters, so instead of different dances theid have different forms

In what way were war dancers not cool? They were and are one of the strengths of my force and have one many a battle by people just being scared of them. They devote too many resources into killing them whilst losing sight of the objectives. Leave the shape shifting to the aspect changes of the dryads or campaign for the return of the beastmaster with different pack options. :) . which would be nice

Actually, the really old models for wardancers are the coolest by far, but GW doesn't make'm anymore :(

They had masks, and great weapons, and javelins, and axes. They were very varied and they all looked pretty acrobatic, unlike the new ones.

I think they will get there own lore look at the HE and DE I how the look more feral are druid look not like HE ;)

As for wardancers i'd like them to look more celtic or shapeshifting into beast animals then they'd look really cool!

I hope they change the dryads to women (which is what they should be anyway) The first time I saw a dryad I was like O_o;;;;;;; they are supposed to be beautiful wood women. I reckon they might, they changed the Harpies for the Dark Elf armies quite a bit...*nids idly to self* I dun like the war dancer models, they look like micheal flately. But yes! They should have war bears or tigers, they are quite celtic already anyway, druids all the way! Woooo! Yesh, I'm done now *higgles*

If you have ener played Dnd's Chainmail miniture game(cheap rip-off of Warhammer), there elven forces were a mix of Wood Elves and Grey(High) Elves. That is what I would like to see.

You can choose a Druid Lord, or an Archmage;
A Glade Guardian or a Wardancer Champion,...


Then, you could have something like how Chaos is seperated into the mortals and Demons.

Wardancers are a core with a Druid or Wardancer Champion general,...

Glade Guardian are a core with a Archmage or Glade Guardian general,...

Arch-Seer, I like those ideas. That would be a great way to organize the wood elf army.

Most like me will choose the Glade Guard side :) Archmage hmmmm but other then that great idea...

Wardancers are and have always been cool, I don't think they should have shapeshifting the dances where so good. B)
