picture this................

Empire v Dark Elves.............2000 point battle.

Empire's first offencive move is to cast Comet of casandora........

the usual happens for 5 turns with the Elves winning the battle by a huge amount.

He's been trying to dispell the comet for FIVE turns. The comet hits...............on a SIX and everything in 30 inches takes 2d6 strength 5 hits.

the DE were miffed.........The Empire ecstatic.........it turned the battle.........

Thats all the Empire had at that point was a wizard lord an a cannon........the DE on the other hand had HALF their army left........but the comet changed that.


the DE lost their general an a lot o troops. The best entertainment. :lol:

That wasnt fair on me. Next time i will be armed with plenty of dispell scrolls MWAHAHAHA.

Great display of luck from the empire, i was proud to watch the dark elves suffer a crushing defeat.

And as to the idea of dispell scrolls, you can only have so many, i will be there to seethe eventfull rematch take place.

Well, that is insanely bad luck for the Dark Elves' part. You do know you are allowed to dispel it at a later time, right?

This isn't exactly a battle report, so if an admin wishes to have it moved, no argument by me.

Other than that, this post I can see heading very easily toward spam, so I'll be watching it.

spam eh? i thought it was rather good. But u can have an opinion.......i think it's allowed.

I also think this is almost spam, being nothing but words summing up a battle in short, broken sentences. Please dont post stuff like this anymore, because it takes up peoples time who might actually want to post something worthwhile.

so what u wanted was an in depth report on a battle? how many casualty's here etc........

waste of time in my view to do that. this is a short story of a battle.....in perticular the nice bit i liked about it.

i was only trying to put something i found great on the forums page for it........

accusing me of spam.......it is summarised because i thought that many people get bored with numbers. I know i do if thats all a battle report is.

Notice how many others felt compelled to tell me that i spam? u 2 out of 300 and odd...... :mellow:

It is one of the worst summerizations I have seen then. People don't want a battle report with statitistics, they want a story about a battle that happened, so it is bassically a creative battle report. And also, how many others compelled to comment on it, 3 out of 300. And how many out of that said it was spam? 2 out of 3. So don't say barely anyone said it was spam when the majority of people who commented did. :)

Bah, this wasn't spam! It was a very, very short battle report. And btw, now only 50% think it's spam..!

doesn't matter anymore............the battle happend, and is over. i thaught that the comet bit was great.........

talk about bad luck for the DE.....do u know he threw all his dispell dice at it in desperation.......and because he rolled a double 1 he failed.......twas a classic moment for the Empire. Victory.

And by 'classic moment' you mean lucky break, because your opponent didn't stop to think. That doesn't make a classic moment, or even a good win; that's a disappointment at best.

as i said earlier.........over the course of 5 turns this happened.......he had no dispell scrolls left......and his rolls allways fell short. In desperation he rolled em all an still failed.

if u can't find happiness in a win.......even a fluke win......then why bother?

A battle plan doesn't last long once u or the enemy move......and luck is with the worthy.....

by the way I PERSONALLy didn't play........i watched. I found it entertaining....and what the rest o u lot think, well my mamma allways said if u can't say anything nice then shut ur mouth.

In my last reply, I didn't mean that this topic was spam, but that I could easily see potential for the topic to become full of spam. You took it the wrong way, sorry.
That said, now this post has spam. I'll lock it. I do accept this kind of battle report, yes, but some of the replies are what I'm looking out for in terms of spam.
