Now I must argue that Paper Mario is the best. game. ever., but this is a close second.

I just LOVE the 2 new Pikmin, the gameplay is easy and fun, and to top it off, they changed the good ol' challenge mode, so, as the name might suggest, is a challenge... It's not a grow-yer-pikmin fest, it's more of a Live-Thru-forty-billion-levels-with-2-Pikmin-fest...

Did I mention it has 2-P battles AND co-op (Well, in Challenge...)? Well, it does! It is SOOOO much fun to see the look on Olimar's face when he loses... And Louie's Smirk is hilarious.

But let's not forget 1-P. This lets you control 2 captians, have killed off that annoying time limit (YAY!), has over 6 times the treasure, and has an awesome Piklopedia for the enimies, in which you can throw Pikpik carrots at the enimies and examine their habits!

I never really liked Pikmin 1 since you had 30 days for 30 peices, but now you can feel free to spend as many days as you want perfecting your 999-each Pikmin army!

To top all THAT off, the levels are downright gihugic, when you think you've seen everything, poof, you'll be saying "I never really noticed that water... hey! Is that a wall? Hey! Is that a rock to drain this pool? Hey, is that another cave! Hey, is that 500000 Pokos? Oh wait, it isn't. Oh well."

And best of all, in my opinion, is the caves! You have -NO- time limit there, not even the day, and these usually hold 10+ treasures, quite a few Candypop Buds, a powerup for your Captians, and one HYUUGE bug the size of your fist!

If this is not the coolest game ever, it's defintly the coolest of '04. (Until The 1,000 Year Door comes out... Heheheh... Mario RPGs own everything else...)

All in all, this is a GREAT game, I give it a 10/10 at LEAST, and I'm not even halfway done with part 1! Hey, I'm a poet and I don't really care! I suggest you save up 50 bucks as fast as you can, and scurry out and get this game!

Wow... This does sound good. I never did play the 1st one though. Even though Tnf took the time to write a few paragraphs, I still think That Paper Mario 2 will be awsome. For me, it will be a close first. :) But I guess would have to go with the subtitle. It would be the best non-RPG game ever, wouldn't it.

Nay, it's better then 1! All the Pikmin action with longer days and no day limit!

I've got the first Pikmin and if I'm honest, it really wasn't the sort of game that I liked. A lot of it was to do with the time limit - feeling pressured to get a part of the ship every day was downright annoying - but I also didn't really enjoy the fact that you could use the different Pikmin to do different things and whatnot, and seeing as that's the whole point of the game, I don't think I'll buy Pikmin 2. It is a good game, I can see why people like it, but it's just not really 'my thing' and so I kinda don't play it any more. Don't let that put you off though, if I hadn't played the original I would buy Pikmin 2 because I find the hefty purple Pikmin hilarious!

Ehh, I don't really like Pikmin 1 a lot either... It was just the intro, in my opinion... They hadn't gotten down the elements, it was pretty close to being one of the launching titles of the GCN... Trust me, 2 is MUCH BETTER. 2 Captians, 2-P Co-Op challenge mode, no day limit, 95% of the time is in caves with no time limit whatsoever... If you don't buy it, at least rent it to try it out... You'll be suprised for the better.

Do you have to collect all the pieces to beat the game? or is that just to get a really cool ending?

To beat the game, you have to save Louie from the Titan Dweevil. You don't need all 201 parts, I just think it unlocks a movie.
