Title: Nintendo is Omnipotent!
Toanuvafreak123 - September 9, 2004 09:48 PM (GMT)
Why isn't there one of these? Nintendo is truly the greatest of all systems. I don't care about cheesy add-ons and .01% better graphics and online play. Nintendo has a wide range of games for all ages, and has great seiries (Pokemon, Zelda, Metroid, and Mario, to name a SELECT FEW.)
As far as I know, me and KK are the only loyal ones. Nintendo was here long before silly Pee Es Toos and Eggsbox. Me no care about Microsofty. They are cool for computers, but he's already the 2nd richest man, it's greedy to take away from more worthy systems. PS2 actually is good, but not anywhere as great as what we call Nintendo. Who's with me?
Of Doom - September 9, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
You spelled "Metroid" wrong. As for cheesy add-ons, ya' gotta love the GB Player for the GCN. It fits perfectly in that catagory. Plus X-Box needs no memory card. How cool is that?
Toanuvafreak123 - September 9, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
Sorry, I give up good spelling for fast typing. And I meant like non-gaming stuff, like DVD and MP3. And so? Most memory cards don't run out for a long time, and soon they'll come out with the 1059, which will basicly run out when you get rid of your Gamecube.
Of Doom - September 9, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
X-Box has a built in 50,000+
Toanuvafreak123 - September 9, 2004 09:58 PM (GMT)
Nintendo has more then one signature game.
Of Doom - September 9, 2004 10:00 PM (GMT)
X-Box can be hacked to do cool stuff.
Koopaking - September 9, 2004 10:10 PM (GMT)
Hacked Is the key word, Not "cool stuff". And it seems we are the only loyal fans, doesn't it. Even though we have different games, we still agree with the same council. And remember, we're not just talking about the main streem systems, here. We're talking about everything. Nintendo isn't the best because of it's graphics, or add-ons, it's famous because of how old and great it is. Even though the idea of Game Cube chipped off the PS2, So what? Gameboys have also been good, and was nintendo's #1 idea for handheld gaming, and many systems have Tryed to copy this, but failed. I for one (Or 2, inclueding Tnf) Think Nintendo is the best there is, because it's main focus is what the player thinks, not because of some stupid DVD drive, or MP3.
Of Doom - September 9, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
The only reason Halo is on the X-Box and not the GCN is because a GCN can't handle it.
Toanuvafreak123 - September 10, 2004 02:36 PM (GMT)
And there are about a dozen M rated games out there... And I don't belive any AO... Is that even a rating anymore? BTW, just about anything can be hacked to do cool stuff... Everything electronic... How else do you think I power my Exo-suit?

About half of the X-Box's games are M-Rated. And I thought that you wired a nine-volt battery into a lightbulb to put on the cardboard...

I'm iwth you man, Nintendo owns all gaming companies. Its had the best systems in its run. Super Nintendo, Nintendo Entertainment System, the beloved Nintendo 64 my fav, the great Gamecube, all the gameboys. Nintendo owns. But what makes Nintendo so great is its series. Zelda, Mario, Metroid, F-Zero, Kirby, DK, Super Smash Bros, the Mario Parties. All these great series. Plus a lot of series are with them, some of the time. Konami, Square Enix, and Capcom.
Then PS2 is awesome too. Right now PS2 is better than Gamecube, but Nintendo as a whole is better than Sony any day. And xbox is just plain bad. XBOX has some good games. Halo, Counterstrike, and some others. But they all come out on PC. Whats the point of getting them on xbox, when you can get them on PC?

Because they're better on the X-Box. And Halo 2 is arguably the Most-Anticipated game of all time. I dunno about you, but I'm gonna wait for them to port Halo 2 to PC. Plus, the PC version sucks. I do think that Metroid is kewlest of all nintendo games.
Link The Hero Of Time - September 10, 2004 11:27 PM (GMT)
I guess so, but the point im trying to make is that xbox doesnt have anything of its own, pretty much. All of its stuff are either on other systems, or on PC. Its like an abundant system. But with Nintendo it has a wide variety of games that are only for GC. Which makes Nintendo, great.
Toanuvafreak123 - September 11, 2004 01:00 AM (GMT)
Heh, SMB3 sold more copies then Halo did. Take that Mr. Grapics-are-everything! And that was Screamy's exo... He made it using his own spit as glue. Mine is made out of Diamonds and Rubies...

(Note from Tnf: Please exuse him. He broke a rule, but if I punish him, he'll also break my skull... *smack* OW!)
Then I'll punish him instead.

...which happen to be the only ones. If you must say "Hallo roxxoerserseres!", do it in the Xbox topic. This is the Nintendo topic.
Of Doom - October 10, 2004 03:37 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I know. Within nintendo, Halo is terrible, because it doesn't exist. Outside of nintendo, Halo 2 is the most highly anticipated XBox game of all time.
Toanuvafreak123 - October 10, 2004 03:39 AM (GMT)
Ah, XBOX game is key. It's also 1 of the two good games for Xbox. All others are on preferable systems as well, or just stink. (Maddening Feetsphere 2 Billion)
Of Doom - October 10, 2004 04:07 AM (GMT)
Meh, Halo 2 has online play. But I'm getting off topic. This topic's for Nintendo lubbin'.
Toanuvafreak123 - October 10, 2004 03:02 PM (GMT)
Yep, it is. Anyway, you've never really told us, what's you favorite Nintendo game? This is to OD, and everyone (This is WAAAAAAAY too big to be a poll).
Of Doom - October 10, 2004 04:47 PM (GMT)

I see metroid isn't even on there.
Toanuvafreak123 - October 10, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)
Still in the top 5... And I forgot FPS, Metroid Prime for SURE. (Soon to be MP2)
Bronze Griffin - October 11, 2004 12:48 AM (GMT)
Well of course you're all going to disagree with each other about what is the most anticipated game. If you weren't so biased with the console that you're talking about then maybe you'd think otherwise; and polls and stuff don't work because they are based on whoever takes them, and that is not the population of gamers. So there isn't any real way of deciding what the most anticipated game (between all three consoles) is. Of course you can claim it's Halo, or it's Metroid Prime: Echoes or whatever, but you don't know it for sure.
I myself like Nintendo; with the PS2 I could never work the controller properly and the graphics were always a little ropey for my liking. The XBox has a controller that is far too chunky and I never got the hype with Halo and everything. I'm not saying that they're bad consoles so don't jump down my throat; what I'm saying is that Nintendo released more games that I found myself liking and whatnot. The controller was alays easy for me to get to grips with, and the games attracted my attention. Plus, there's "The Nintendo Difference" which is soemthing that only Nintendo manage to pull off.
I do like some games on other consoles but I don't get the chance to play them that much. My Gamecube is the easiest for me to play and it's the only one with a massive selection of games that actually appeal to me; I'm not swayed by the fact people think a game is kiddy or not. If it's a good game then I'll buy it. There was the whole outrage about The Wind Waker looking kiddy, but I didn't care. The graphics were stunning and the gameplay was awesome.
I'm not knocking any other console. I'm just saying that different consoles will appeal to different people. And yes, I know that Nintendo has a shabby advertising history,. But I don't care because I just get information for games from websites and magazines. I don't care for billboard posters and TV advertising and things like that. And you can't deny that Nintendo have been around for the longest time: They started out as a card company in 1883!
EDIT: In my endless rambles I forgot to tell you my favourite games for Nintendo systems. ^_^; Well it changes all the time. Right now it's Animal Crossing. But I do have a habit of rating my games so tomorrow I'll tell you what my favourite game by Nintendo ever is. It's 1:50am right now so that's why I'm not doing it now...
Toanuvafreak123 - October 25, 2004 04:57 PM (GMT)
Bronze Griffin, that's the exact way I think... The PS2 is good, but the graphics are a little bad, and the XBox's controller is about identical to the GCN's, exept about as chunky as Chunky from DK64...
And I'm just soooo annoyed with everyone getting exited about Halo, even tracking them anywhere just because they said something about "Ienjoyinsects.org"... IT'S A GAME. I DON'T GO ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO SEE SOMETHING COMPLETELY RANDOM OFF A WEBSITE THAT FLASHED FOR .03 SECONDS ON A COMMERCIAL...
Of Doom - October 25, 2004 08:32 PM (GMT)
Actually, the ilovebees thing is an alternate reality game, basicly where you get to listen to these sort of Halo-related sound clips, but they're still their own storyline thingy, and it's a game on its own. BTW, the Controller-S's are the new standard, and they're WAY less chunky than the originals for X-Box. BTW, the gamecube isn't such a great system for FPS's, since dual analog is so popular and the C-stick isn't ideal for that. Still, FPS's have never really been Nintendo's "thing", and they really don't need them, since they have such a loyal fan base that will buy anything they put out, regardless of what it is. :P

This is exactly what I've been trying to get to for a long, long time. If you read what he said, then you know what I was going to say. This is a great debate. Although there are no right and wrong answers.
