Metroid Prime 2: Echos

It will have two new beam, a Light Beam, and a Dark Beam.

And it WILL have multiplayer!

MP: 2 Echoes has been confirmed. BUt a light and dark beam? Seems kind of un-metroidlike. Oh well, who am I to argue with Nintendo power?

Yeah, I saw some new screenshots about a dark universe and a light universe. Plus a shot of u fighting dark Samus. I could also see the dark and light beams in the beam selector in the corner. I hope the multiplayer is good (if its not im going to eat nintendo.)

I`ve read most everything there is to it. There is a light and dark beam and the planet is split into a light and dark. The space Pirates are trapped there and find Phazon in the Dark zone so they send there guys into get it but they can`t get back. In the darkness u meet the main enemy of the game.... Dark beings known as the Ing they are shapeshifters but can only exsist in the dark. The atmosphere of the dark zone can hurt u and u get the new beams from the good race known as the lumonoth. They ask for your help since u r there on a miision to retreive comandos from the planet. There is a fight going on against the lumonoth and the Ing.... But out of the darkness a truely vile creature is born. Dark Sanus!!! :evilgrin: thats pretty much it. There is a multi player but no co-op mode.

On topicly, I think Tnf's getting the Metroid Prime 2 Preview disc. His Mom sez that his Aug 06 subscription is enough (You have to get a year and get a bonus disc free), but he says he wants to get it until he can work at Nintendo and help MAKE the magazine. And I think he can do it... Don't under estimate him, he can do what he wants if he puts his mind to it... I know first hand. :blink:

Well it was a typo it`s Dark Samus. I know little about her but because of the surroundings you first encounter her in, I think she is the creation of having Phazon infected by the evil of the dark zone, but that dosen`t cover why she looks like samus. So it`s kinda like the SA-X you destroy her when you first meet her and you meet her again and again like the SA-X..... Except you don`t defeat it there`s just a bunch. And I heard you get all new wepons the D&W beams and two others that I don`t know the names of.

Umm, but I noticed you guys saying a Dark Samus? Well, if you beat Metroid Prime with 100% (I don't know if it MUST be on Hard Mode, or if either mode counts). But, I think that's where this Dark Samus comes from, cause you get an additional movie

...I think it's after the credits...

O well I haven`t beaten the 100% on hard mode yet still stuff to collect..... but it dosen`t matter you`ll get the story in MP2.

Never heard of MP1 Darky. Though I basicly stink at it in easy, let alone 100% in hard... All I know about extra Samus is you get the Fusion Suit if you link a Completed Fusion with a Completed Prime...

But, yeah. I went into what happened, but then the computer froze. So I didn't bother go back into it.

The movie isn't much, though, and you don't see much. All you see is a bubbling pool of Phazon. Then the hand of the Phazon Suit suddenly rises out of it, with one big eye in the back of it. (shrugs)

hmmmmm. haven`t seen that before thats probably it.

This looks so awesome, I'm really looking forward to it. Ive gotten the demo of it, and its looking pretty good. Metroid Prime was a hit for me, and I'm thinking this will be too. What do you guys think?

I think that Dark Samus is actually Metroid Prime (The boss at the end of the first Prime game) If you notice in the last cutscene Prime sucks up Samus' Phazon suit leaving her with her basic suit, and Dark Samus outfit looks a lot like the Phazon suit so maybe it's Prime reborn or reincarnated?

And in the art gallery, there was a drawing of MP flying out of a power suit... I'm guessing DS is MP.

It`s possible..... but there are a lotta gaps. one big poinr would be: How did it get from tallon to here? But I won`t completely obliterate the possibility.

Never ponder the ways of the phazon.
