Well I dunno how many FF Fans we have here, but I used to be a heavy FF Fan, had a site, had all the games, loved to draw from the games, I loved everything about the series, until they started messing around with FFX-2 and delaying the release of many games that were put out for display but never really showed any signs of progress or on time releases. I think it's cool that we're going to see FFVII:Advent Children, but that would've been good enough, not for Square Enix though, they had to go and make an entire sub series for FF just for the FFVII title. I think they went a little overboard. I mean already they're pushing 5-6 Final Fantasy VII titles now, which includes the remake FFVII: Tech Demo which I'm not too sure if that's an official release or not. Anyways I've started to slip from the series, I don't mind playing them but I'm not into it as much as I used to.

Who here's a Final Fantasy Fan and if so, why don't you all share your thoughts on what you think of the Final Fantasy Series, and all this mix mashing they're doing. Yeah it's nice, they're apparently starting on Final Fantasy XIII, but it annoys me that they are talking about it, yet they haven't even release Final Fantasy XII which has been delayed quite a bit. So, post your thoughts.

I thinks this FF7 is sorta like an experiment, they wanna see how well sequels do (I guess) and as FF7 was, for many FF Fans, the greatest FF ever (personally I liked FF6 more) they chose that one.

As for the remake, fans have been asking after this for some time, at least whenever I hop off to fan sites, its always mentioned!

I agree that maybe their going a little overboard with all the FF7 games, when I first heard of FF7:AC, there was only BC and DoC in the makings aswell. I haven't really kept up with this, but if as you say there is something like 4-6, then its going a bit overboard.

Also though, maybe if they can get it working with FF7, then other FF games will get sequels and such, meaning they may work on more games. *i.e more money = more staff = more games?* So yeah, we'll find out eh?

I'm a great FF fan, I don't keep up to date with everything, but soon as a new game is released I get it, FF7 is the game that started it all for me! From there I bought FF9 (didn't like the look of FF8 atm) then FF8, FF10, then bought FF1+2, FF4-6 (FF3 not available in UK), and FFX-2 (which was a little disapointing compared to the others in the series). I didn't get FFXI, as playing FF online didn't really bother me.

FF7 was great, a remake would suit me just fine, I'll buy AC for sure! As for DoC and BC, I doubt it.

So all-in-all, I think maybe there going over the top with FF7, but I'll not judge em till they are out! If they make great games, with great plot lines, then I'm happy!

Wow, I just got back into the FF series 2 days ago. I haven't been playing but I got a hold of Final Fantasy VII for the PS1. I liked all the games from the first one to FF 8. (Never played 9 before.) After that the games got a little to complicated and annoying for my taste. Also I think that FF X-2 was a waste of money. They should never have made that game. >_< Anyway I am really excited about the new Final Fantasy Advent Children movie because FF7 is my favorite game in the series so far. I don't really mind that they are not showing much signs of progress on new releases because I am not really into the newer games of the final fantasy series.
