Title: "Pokemon is not a game we can readily reccomend
Description: for children"

Toanuvafreak123 - May 2, 2005 09:34 PM (GMT)
Read this...

...

I just was playing my new Pokemon Emerald. After that bloodbath, I feel like taking my cat and telling it to attack a bird outside. I am very bloodlust after watching Pokemon make each other FAINT by PECKING them... I'm so warped... *sob sob*

Jeremysr - May 2, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
My parents never did let me get any Pokemon games or anything, i dont know why. But I didn't want any anyway.

They would now though.

Toanuvafreak123 - May 2, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
Seriously, 500,000 Teenagers calling it a baby game can't all be wrong. XD

Darkness Wolf - May 2, 2005 09:58 PM (GMT)
*rolls eyes*

And yet more aligations that games induce violence. No they don't. Just look at Japan, they prove it.

Of Doom - May 2, 2005 10:09 PM (GMT)
I believe that games are an output for violent behavior.

By the way, how old is that article?

As far as I've seen, pokemon died years ago.

Toanuvafreak123 - May 2, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
Pretty old, but I just saw it today.

They also hate both Metroid GBA games as it is 'Morally wrong to have lust as a reward for playing well'... -.-

Oh, Wolf, you'll hate this. They took MAJOR points off the Sims for "Portraying Homosexuality as ok"...

Darkness Wolf - May 2, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
Ohhhh yeeeaaah, now I'm (censored, stupid word filter).

Toanuvafreak123 - May 3, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
That site is messed up...

Darkness Wolf - May 3, 2005 01:48 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I can tell...bloody **** homophobes...

Of Doom - May 3, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I looked at the Metroid Fusion review. They said (besides what Tnf quoted) "The absorbing of the X-parasite can be taken different ways, if it bothers you steer clear of this game." What the heck? They're also very inconsistent. Fusion lost points for its 'lustful ending,' but Zero Mission lost far less for what I would consider a MORE 'lustful ending.' Weird.

I checked out Halo on that site, also. They said it would be fair for a mature teenager (mentally). The also took points off for sexuality, saying "Your computer can talk to you and take the form of a hologram of a sexy woman."

Halo 2, on the otherhand, was quoted "the biggest downfall of this game is the violence." Um, yeah, most FPS involve shooting things. Halo 2 lost no points for "sexual content," like the first Halo did. Another inconsistency.

I would seriously not recommend this website. Heck, their pokemon-puppy comparison was disturbing. They're loaded with inconsistencies, and they're intolerant of any more than picking flowers in happy land.

Darkness Wolf - May 3, 2005 02:54 AM (GMT)
Yeah, these people have no idea what they're really talking about. They know nothing of games. It's like listening to 'pro-family' (censored) go into their (censored). It's like reading Dr. Cameron's illegitimate research reports (don't get me started).

Toanuvafreak123 - May 3, 2005 02:18 PM (GMT)
They also took a crapload of points offa TLoZ: The Minish Cap for having that guy with a spirit haunting him that you have to suck up with the gust jar. According to them, "This was the perfect time to teach him the power of prayer, but instead you use an EEEEEVIL magic hob-goblin EEEEVIL bewitched jar."

Toanuvafreak123 - May 3, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
My point exactly. Here are 3 good reasons:

Link does not talk.
It would offend plenty.
IT'S NOT VEGGITALES: THE VIDEO GAME

Also, the only games they actually SUGGEST are like Luigi's Mansion where you "Rid the world of evil spirits"... They also say a lot about "They made the clothes make it easy to tell what gender they are"... when a guy has a suit of armour and a girl's clothes are like the Selkie's in FFCC. >_<

Edit: I saw one of them said "Doesn't Not". Although it's obvious already, they're not exactly the brighest bananas in the toolbox, if you get my point.

Lavo - May 3, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
Look at the end. You see not only is this messed up, but they are trying get people to be religous. (I'm not kidding). It is retarded. (Pardon my language).

Toanuvafreak123 - May 3, 2005 08:42 PM (GMT)
That's a Cristian site... I thought that was obvious. Anyway, I remember in some other game they took half the points off for the character saying H-E-Double Hockey Sticks and "Good Lord"... This whole "Taking his name in vain" doesn't make any sense. How is GOOD Lord insulting?

Anyway, I think it's unanimous.

Crap > This site's opinion

Toanuvafreak123 - May 3, 2005 09:03 PM (GMT)
For Runescape, the guy said he allowes his kids to spend thier "entertainment allowance" (BAAAD wording. You aren't supposed to LIMIT FUN.) on Runescape, as long as they don't "Want Other RPG games" (WTH??) or "Make Cyber-Friends"... Egads. No one should make FRIENDS online. They are EVIL MAGIK ONLINE!

Darkness Wolf - May 3, 2005 09:21 PM (GMT)

Jeremysr - May 3, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
too flamey topic

And things like "Oh My God" and "good lord" ARE insulting, I'm not allowed to say anything like that, but I don't want to anyway.

Lavo - May 3, 2005 11:22 PM (GMT)
No Mario Kart is good.

Toanuvafreak123 - May 3, 2005 11:34 PM (GMT)

because you use his name as a curse word or something and they are reviewing the games, not flaming them. and i thought flaming wasn't allowed on this site.

Lavo - May 3, 2005 11:44 PM (GMT)
Racing and fireing stuff at people are fun.

Jeremysr - May 3, 2005 11:47 PM (GMT)

Lavo - May 3, 2005 11:49 PM (GMT)
He speacks the truth.

Koopaking - May 3, 2005 11:51 PM (GMT)
All I can say is this iste is very very very very very (Millions of "Very"s later) retarted.

Lavo - May 4, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
And super religious. (Not to insult religious poeple [witch I am]).

Darkness Wolf - May 4, 2005 12:13 AM (GMT)
Okay, here. Let me explain it like this.

They're belittling the games we play, without any evidence of what they claim. They are not reviewing them; they are trying to worse then what they really are through false claims, it's a lot like being prejustice. And in hence, that is a form of flaming. It may not be a form of flaming your not used to, but it is a kind of flaming, because of the negative and insultive atmosphere they are bringing for towards the game.

Also, some people do not think using "his" name is a form of swearing. I'm religious in my own aspects, but not towards christianity or catholism, or whatever. So, I have no objections to it. In regards, that part is based only on opinion.

And as for my Mario Kart, I was asking if they have anything about it.

That's like saying "seriously". "Seriously, you're dumb"... or, in the case of "GOOD LORD" it's like "What the?"

And what Wolf said. If you don't like this topic, don't post.

Koopaking - May 4, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
exactly. Dun post if you dun like a topic.

Toanuvafreak123 - May 4, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
We aren't really flaming, anywho. We're more pity-laughing at these people who think they're reviewing.

Darkness Wolf - May 4, 2005 01:46 AM (GMT)
You want flaming, I can show you flaming. And what's going on here is NOT flaming.

Toanuvafreak123 - May 4, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
Yeah.

Jeremysr - May 4, 2005 05:32 AM (GMT)
I was only answering your question

Toanuvafreak123 - May 4, 2005 02:27 PM (GMT)
We didn't say you weren't.

Lavo - May 4, 2005 08:09 PM (GMT)
This is getting a little off hand.

Jeremysr - May 4, 2005 09:28 PM (GMT)
That's why they don't allow these topics on BZPower...
