If you're a Kirby fan, you'll probably know about 2 of the episodes of Kirby: Right Back at Ya: Air Ride in Style part one and two. These featured Kirby and Tiff dreaming about Kirby meeting up with 4 different enimes, one on the Formula star, one on the Dark star, one on the winged star, and one on the Rocket star. (My personal favorite out of the 4). It was actully a promotion for the newest Kirby Game, Kirby's Air ride! This features many different stars, Meta Knight as a playable character, and even King DeDeDe as one, too!!!
I happened to of got this game two days ago, and it is EXTREMELY cool. Even if you're one of those people who thinks Kirby is a stupid pink Marshmellow, you'll like this game. You can play in Air Ride mode, in which you can race, and in it's free run, you can even race your best time! Mode two is Top Ride mode, where you can race in less hard courses, in a top-view mode. In free run, you can again race your best time. In the third mode, City Trial, you get to race around in a city, which has incredible things, such as a volcano, a hidden ice lair, Whispy Woods, and more! Also, it features Power ups, such as ones that upgrade your flight, take away your weight, and more! You can also use other Air Ride machines when you find them laying around. After you've built your machine, hopefully before time runs out, you go to the stadium, where you can battle with your machine, in racing, enimy smashing, flight tests, and more. Free run is the same, without the stadium, and there's a third mode, where you can play all unlocked stadium games! Also, for a Minor note, in free run, there's a star only avalible there, the Flight Warpstar. It's basicly a warpstar that goes faster, and can fly for almost infinite time. There are also 2 secret non-kirby racers, avalible in City Trial's free run, Air Ride's free run, and Air ride. They are Meta Knight and King DeDeDe. Meta Knight and King DeDeDe can't copy, but Meta Knight has a sword, and King DeDeDe has a hammer. In only City Trial and It's free run, there are 2 legendary machines, Hydra, and Dragoon. Hydra can go at hyperfast speeds, and has an energy bar off the chart! It even gets faster from running over your enimies! Dragoon goes nicely, it's powered up Boost is almost as fast as Rocket Star's. But it flies so well, you'll need to press A to drop, or run into something.
All vehicles:
Warpstar - Average
Compact Star - Faster then warpstar, but a bit slow
Wheelie Bike - A wheelie, pretty much. Bad steering.
Wheelie Scooter - better steering, HUGE jumps. Rather slow.
Rex Wheelie - Fast accelarator, good Top speed. Poor steering
Flight warpstar - Incredible. Extremely fast, and can fly for long times.
Turbo Star - Pretty average, boost while taking a tight turn for a HUGE boost.
Rocket Star - Pretty slow, but (boosting is slow) Boosting whenever gives you a HUGE boost.
Formula Star - Slow at start, but if it goes straight for a while, it has a great speed. Best top speed of all.
Dark Star - Pretty much a warpstar that goes faster and can whackafy anything it touches.
Swerve Star - Always is at top speed, but you need to boost to turn.
Slick Star - Pretty average, controls like it's on ice.
Wagon Star - Can't boost but good stats. (Looks like a sushi cart!)
Bulk Star - Uses boost for fuel. Very fast, but only stays like that for a while.
Secret:
King DeDeDe - King DeDeDe on a wheelie bike. Has a hammer like a sword.
Meta Knight - Meta Knight flies, instead of rides. Has a sword.
Dragoon - Cuts through the sky for as long as you can imagane. Normal boost is like Rocket's.
Hydra - All about power. Uses boost for fuel, but runs a long time, and goes incredibly fast. Also can pretty much plow over anything.

And if that still bores ya, here's the copy abilities:
Bomb - Throws 1 huge bomb that explodes VERY BIG.
Freeze - Freezes in a circle around you.
Tornado - Powers up spinning abilitys. Also lets you spin in the air.
Wing - Turns Kirby into a Birdy that goes FAST.
Fire - Kirby's tracks are on fire. Also lets you spit fire ahead of you.
Sleep - You can't turn until you wiggle left and right. NOT good.
Needle - Lets you have spines all around you with a tap of A.
Plasma - Wiggle left and right to power up the biggest weapon you've ever seen.
Sword - When you pass an enimy/racer, you automaticly slash them.
Mike (Microphone) - Automaticly sends Kirby up in the air and blasts all close enimy/opponents with a shriek.
Wheel - Lets you go VERY fast. Also runs over enimys, and automaticly presses switches etc.

I was never much of a kirby fan, but the game sounds pretty cool. My best friend got it, and convinced me to play it with him when I go to his house next.

Yep, you should DEFINTLY get/play it! It's the best racing game I've ever played! (And I've played QUITE a few) I added descriptions for all the stars/wheelies/secret characters and the powers, so you can have a clue for what's to come.

I may be the odd one out here, but I really don't like it. It's just far too simple. All you ever seem to do is use the A Button and the control stick... It's never remotely thrilling. It's good for a laugh with some friends, but then again, I don't see why you wouldn't go for F-Zero GX or Mario Kart: Double Dash. There just doesn't seem to have been much effort put into it... Whenever I play it I get the feeling it's been dumbed down so even the worst gamers can play it with ease. There was so much that could've made this great, but it simply isn't. =/

Well, I admit it's simple, easy to get the hang of, and doesn't have too much of a story like other Kirby games, but it's still pretty good! They could have added more courses without breaking any hearts (XD), but I like it as it is.

I agree kirby air ride is good but it gets boring after you get all the air ride machines and master them. the winged star is fun and so is the rocket star.

The winged star is the ultimate. Methinks it is fun to fly around.
