Hm? That's weird... Do you have the Go Back program on your computer? Normally, if you use that, you're cmoputer will go back (memory wise, of course) to whatever date you set it to. This will take away errors and such, but it will erase some other memory or programs you have on your computer, so use sparingly.

You could try restarting your machine. I once had a cascade of errors that I had to wade through from IE every once in a while.
Also, certain errors don't lock you out. Sometimes you can drag them out of the way and stay online.

where can i get this "Go Back" program?

Window System Restore will reset your comp back to the last system restore point. It's pretty dangerous, as it will erase all files changed since then.

Or you can get another browser, like Firefox. I never have problems with it and you can get lots of skins and good extensions for it. It loads pages about 1 second slower than internet explorer. but 1 second is worth all the other things on it. and its free.

Well, you can always do what OD said. It's probably easier nad it's basically the same thing, but for go back, you have to restart the computer. Once you do so, one of the screens that pop up will say
"Loading
For Go Back, press SPACE BAR"

You can actually fix firefox to load faster, by altering some source files. The reason it's like that is to "not overload your pathetic compute.r"

I had to crash the crappy Windows ME eight times, total. I learned a little trick, if you're going to try the backup thing, save anything important to a disk.
Jeremysr - February 27, 2005 03:56 AM (GMT)
Windows ME is the worst version of windows probably. its kinda good for games, but windows 98 is just as good and doesn't crash as much.

Accually, for me, Windows ME works fine. We've only had a few crashes, and we've had this computer for... 4 years. Yeah, It's old, but it work great for me.
Darkness Wolf - February 27, 2005 04:02 AM (GMT)
I had mine for 4 years, also, and it's terrible. The last time we crashed it was bacause it was utterly infected with the Trojan Horse virus, and we couldn't get rid of it all. We'd get rid of most of it, but it's like cancer, and just regrew.

Windows XP is works really well... until I downloaded Service Pack 2. Then everything screwed up.
Koopaking - February 27, 2005 05:04 AM (GMT)
I'm thinking about getting a laptop, so I'll be sure to get Windos XP.
Darkness Wolf - February 27, 2005 01:56 PM (GMT)
That's what I got for mine.
