Title: Tale of Iun-Energia
Description: The Island of Energy
Koopaking - January 8, 2005 03:45 AM (GMT)
Before I begin, I would like to say that most of the characters in my story are made up. Some of this story may not make sense in the world of Bionicle, but I will explain questions in my feedback topic. And by the way, don't reply here, reply any coments or anything at all in my feedback tpoic, just not here.
Tale of Iun-Energia
Prolouge:
Toa Takanuva and Jaller were walking around Metru-Nui, currently in Ta-Metru, when Takanuva came up with the question,"I wonder if there is another island."
Jala couldn't help but ask,"What are you talking about?"
"Well, you know, above Metru Nui is Mata nui right?"
"Right... I still don't see where you're going with this."
"Well, what's beyond the sea of Mata Nui? Water and more water? There has to more somewhere, right?"
"Maybe," Jaller replied with doubt in his tone,"But why are asking me? Better yet, why are you asking at all?"
"Well," Takanuva started,"It was just something that happened to pop into my mind. Perhaps I should ask a Turaga this question that seems too complicated for you."
"I might as well come with you, to see the answer the Turaga gives you. Heh heh."
Takanuva ran off to Vakama's dwelling to ask the question that complcated Takanuva and Jaller.
When they get to his dwelling, Takanuva quickly asks the question, and Vakam replies irratably,"Why do you complicate my life even more, Takanuva? You have found your Duty and Destiny, now go fulfill it! If you really must know, go explore! I do believe the other Toa can ward off any evil, if there shall be more at all, that stands in our way to life. Now go, great one, and venture off to this great distance."
Jaller replies,"See, I told you the Turaga wouldn't bother with that question."
Takanuva replys to this with,"He didn't, did he? then what was it he just said? Jiberish? I believe that was the answer I was loking for. Thank you, for your words of wisdom, Vakama."
Vakama replies,"You're welcome, Great Toa," Then he turns to Jaller and says,"Jaller, you are excused to accompany Takanuva. That is, if you wish to."
Takanuva and Vakama both look at Jaller, and he finnally says,"Alright, alright! I'll accompany him to wherever he will go. I will be your 'Chronicaller'."
Takanuva rejoyces and they take off towards Mata nui. And as they walk away, Vakama shouts,"By the way, you might want to take a few others with you!"
A Ta-Metruan walks up to Takanuva and asks,"What's with all the shouting?"
Jaller replies with,"We are searching for anther Island, near or far from Mata Nui."
They reply,"Really? It's always been a dream of mine to accompany a Toa on a quest. Wheither it's to save Metru Nui from ultimate distruction, or travel to find new things.
Jaller says,"A warrior, eh? Perhaps he can accompany us?"
Takanuva replies,"Yes, if he wishes. Tell me, though: What is your name?"
The Metruan states,"Kinga. A Metruan left behind, great one. Also, before we leave to Mata-Nui, I would like to find someone from Onu-Metru. He, also one left behind, might seem interested in traveling with us." Jaller and Takanuva srug and they head off for Onu-Metru. They find the Onu-Metruan, Kompa, who appearently, would go with them, but he asked for someone from Ko-Metru, who asked someone from Ga-Metru, and so on, until it eventually came down to 1 metruan from each Metru, plus Takanuva and Jaller.
They head for Mata Nui the next day. They eight of them travel in a boat across the sea of Protodermis to get to a cave, leading to Mata-Nui, in the side of Ihu.
Out of curiousity and boredom, Kompa asks, with a curious vioce, both Jaller and Takanuva," So, what was Mata Nui like? I've heard it was bright, where the sun shined longer, more growth from and small bugs and everything... Was it realy?"
Jaller replies,"Well, that sounds like Mata Nui to me. It was also a little more spacy than Metru Nui."
Takanuva replies," But not now... It has been destroyed by the monsters that the Toa have faced. Mata Nui has destruction all over it. It is sad, but we must not worry of it. We are to not stay there long. We will travel to the sea of Mata Nui, and then we will make a large boat and set sail as soon as possible. I can protect all of you from some monsters, but if we bump into a pack, I may not be able to fend off all of them. Is this clear to all of you?"
They all reply with a yes.

Chapter 1: Mata Nui Ho!
The group sails on the calm sea of Proto. Everybody is quite, except for the sound of the boat moving through the water.
“So, where are we to set sail from Mata Nui,” Jaller asked.
“I am hoping to set sail around Ga-Koro,” Takanuva explain, “There shouldn’t be as many Rahi and Rahkshi around that area. Since what’s left of it IS on water.”
“Good point.”
They finally saw the inside walls of Ihu.
“Land ho!” Kompa yelled.
“Thanks for yelling that in my ear, buddy,” said Kinga.
They reach a cave and dock the ship.
“It might just be easier to bring the ship with us,” explain the Le Metruan, Even though it would be heavy lifting, I think we can handle it.”
“Also another good point, uh… whoever you are,” Takanuva replied, “But how do we know how far we are going? I told you earlier that I didn’t want to stay on Mata Nui for long, and that we would leave as soon as possible.”
“Vento, and what if we just ship off to the closest beach possible,” Replied the Le Metruan.
“Well, Viento, that does sound ok… Then, it’s settled. We take the ship with us,” Takanuva tries to lift the ship up by himself, but fails, “A little… help here… please…”
The Metruan and Jaller help him lift the ship, all of them huffing, puffing, and grunting. Once they finally get out of the cave, the Ko Metruan huffs out the words, ”That… w…huh…as hard… Do we… really have to go on like this?”
“Unless you would rather build a ship, then yes,” Jaller remarks.
“Where are we,” Takanuva asks himself, “It’s almost as if we are on top of Ihu!”
Jaller examines the area and replies, “We must be in Ko-Koro.”
“Sonido is in his place,” The Ko Metruan said with excitement, which then turned to dismay, “But where is the Koro?”
“Hey Takanuva, wasn’t it here last when we were traveling,” Jaller asked.
“Apparently it was being destroyed in the process,” remarked Takanuva, “But we should not concentrate on where Ko-Koro is, but where we need to go. There are steep cliffs on the beaches of Ko-Wahi, so we don’t want to go there, and Le-Wahi is off limits because that is where the fiercest creatures live. I also don’t want to go west, but the fastest we get this boat in, the better. So I say we go to Po-Wahi.”
Jaller rolls his eyes and says, “Yes, oh great leader!”
“Your sarcasm humors me,” Takanuva said with a laugh.
To they’re dismay, they pick up the boat again and head for Po-Wahi. Occasionally, they would come across a Rahi. But they had not seen any Rahkshi on their journey.
“I wonder if…Makuta is…really…De…ad,” Jaller puffed out.
“Jaller, do you think that after all the beatings that Makuta has gone through, that he would be killed by the crush of a door,” Takanuva remarked, with no struggle at all.
“Well, I haven’t come across or heard of any Rahkshi in a long time. Same with Kratta.”
“I haven’t either,” Said Sonido, butting into their conversation, “but that doesn’t mean he isn’t around any longer.”
“He makes a good point,” Remarked Takanuva. Jaller nodded.
The lot of them continue on to Po-Wahi. When one of them was tired, they would stop holding on and walk along until they had regained their strength. The one time that Takanuva stopped, everyone dropped the boat, showing them how much he helped them. They slowly picked it back up and started walking. They walked slowly, but they were walking.
“Alright, fine, I won’t take a break, ever again,” He said and then laughed.
They finally got to water and splashed the boat into it, and they all, except Takanuva, climbed in. He was to push the boat out to the water and hop in. But he waited for a moment.
“What’s the rush, Takanuva,” Jaller said with sarcasm, “What are you waiting for? Push us out!”
“I… Think someone is trying to catch us…” he said.
“What? Just push us off so they don’t.”
“No, I mean, someone is trying to find us and come with us…”
“And how do you know this,” One of the Metruan asks.
“Mata-Nui says so… Hahli?” Everyone looks into the distance and sees a Ga-Matoran.

Chapter 2: Push-Off to the East
Hahli suddenly runs up to them and greets them, then explains why she is here, “I was told by another Matoran that you were going on a journey. I figured that I would find you and join you, but finding you was hard! I asked everyone I saw I they had seen you. Everyone said that took someone from their Metru! I find this funny. Anyway, I searched all across Metru Nui, and then someone told me you shipped off at Le Metru. Apparently the way I went was the same as yours because we met up here.” Hahli went on for a while, but no one cared because they had already shipped off, and there was nothing else to do but listen. After she was finished, she asked what direction they were going in, and Takanuva replied, “To the East. If we hit land, we do, if we don’t and end up somewhere back on Mata Nui, then so be it. But I don’t think that we are the only island in this world. Although it is possible, I don’t think it is.”
“Hm… I see, Hahli replied, “So, who has chosen to be your Chronicler?”
Jaller raised his hand. “You know I am the only one who knows him best!”
“Yes, but I have been his chronicler once before.”
“True.”
A few days pass and nothing has been seen. No land behind them or in front of them. The sea was white capped at times, but mostly it was smooth and calm. It seemed like there had never been any creature to stir the water’s surface, but they all knew that was not true, for there were millions of sea creatures living in the sea.
Jaller was chiseling away in his Chronicler log.

(Day 5,
We have been at sea for 3 days, making this the 5th day on our adventure. Nothing infront of us, or behind us, just water and more water. Sometimes I wonder if we will ever find land. I don’t doubt Takanuva, but it’s just that we are starting to get bored. Although I have Hahli and Takanuva, and Kompa and Kinga can entertain each other, but what do the rest of these people have? All I’m supposed to do in this is log Takanuva’s journeys. So he has been guiding us well and steering us fine.
Chronicler,
Jaller)
Solaire, the Ga-Metruan, Had a dark Blue torso, (As in the Metruan ones) with blue arms and legs, and drak blue hands and feet. She was the navigator. She and Hahli were both good with shipping, although they found that Solaire was better.
Nerezza, the Po-Metruan, had a pale brown torso, (As in the Metruan ones) black arms and legs, and brown feet and hands. He had on a black Pakari. He was brute, which made him the first mate from the captain, Takanuva. The rest were the crew, except Jaller, since he had the duty as the Chronicler for Takanuva. To keep them selves awake, everyone would talk, or mess around with their belongings. Sometimes they would throw around a Kohlii ball, that was brought for the new island that they hoped to find. If they were to find a new place, they wanted to spread their custom.
“So,” Kinga wondered, “Takanuva, what’s it like to be a Toa?”
“It’s great! Having powers and everything! But the only thing I miss is being like everyone else.”
“Oh great! That just makes me wan to be a Toa even more,” Kinga said in an anxious voice. Everyone laughed. “Oo! I almost forgot to show everyone my latest invention!” He pulls out a small device that looks similar to a cell phone. It had an antenna sticking out of the top and a screen in the middle and buttons separately stating all the letters of the Matoran Alphabet under it. He typed in “LAND” and the device automatically searches for land. Its search range was about 500 miles away. It said that there was no land nearby. Mata Nui was nowhere around them. They were also going about 30 miles per hour, which is good for a Carrier that was so big and weighs so much. Kinga explained all this to everyone, and Kompa gave him a high-five.
“That’s amazing,” Takanuva said in an excited tone, “This will come in handy! What can it search?”
“Anything you type in. I just finished building it right before I met you and Jaller. It was really--” The Tracker went off, meaning there was land 500 miles away. “The track detects land?!” Everyone got excited.
Hahli went out of the large room of the carrier and into the navigator’s room. “Solaire! Land 500 miles away!”
“Really? How do you know this?”
Hahli exits the room and comes back with the Tracker.

Chapter 3: Attacked
“Fascinating,” Solaire said, “I am excited that Takanuva was right! But it is starting to get late. I am getting tired. Yu can take over for a while.”
Solaire’s words were true. It was getting late, and Hahli didn’t feel like see could stay awake to control the carrier. But she insisted anyway. “Sure, I will. Besides, if I also get tired, there is a cruise button that I can use.
“Hopefully that won’t be needed. I’ll only sleep for a few hours. G’night.”
Solaire walked to the corner of Navigator’s room and sat down.
“Good night,” Hahli whispered.
Time went slowly after that. She had no one to talk to and everyone else had gone to sleep. She knew this because there was no more laughter coming from the passenger room. She slowly grew tired, but kept herself awake by thinking about the excitement of finding the island.
She yawned. The smoothness of the water was hypnotizing her. She turned and looked at Solaire. She had been sleeping for more than a few hours. Hahli looked up at the sky, and saw that the sun was starting to come up. The light reflected off the clouds. It didn’t look like the beautiful mixture of purple, pink, and orange of most mornings. It was more of a yellow and white mixture. After a few minutes, the sun still laid in the same spot. Hahli was to tired to realize this. Hahli looked at the water again, and gave off another yawn.
Then, a sudden ripple of water appeared, and Hahli saw something come out of the water. A huge, black tentacle had emerged from the water. It was longer than Bragg was tall! It also has a sharp point at the top that looked like it could puncture anything.
Hahli quickly swerved around it, making some things in the carrier slide. Solaire suddenly woke up from swerve and ran towards Hahli.
“What’s going on?!”
“This tentacle appeared from nowhere!”
“What tentacle? Where?”
“Back there!”
“I see. Wake the others, just incase it tries to attack. I’ll stay and mend the controls.”
Hahli ran back to the Passenger room to get the others.
“Every! Wake up! We might be under attack!”
Takanuva and Nerezza stirred quickly, but the rest were too tired to wake.
“What?” Takanuva said, surprised that something had emerged.
“Hm… I see.” Nerezza replied, “Then we must retrieve the disks!”
“Disks?” Hahli and Takanuva asked, as if they had not known Nerezza had brought some.
“Do ya mean ya thought I wouldn’t arm us? Har har! I’m a brute, for Mata’s sake!”
Takanuva and Hahli shrugged, and they gather disks out of the passenger’s closet. They carried disks to a latter in the corner of the Passenger’s room. Nerezza opened a hatch that lead to the top of the carrier, and the four of them stood there, waiting to see if the tentacle would emerge in front of them again. The tentacle appeared right about the time the three had been read to attack. Nerezza lifted his large black arms and flung a poison disk at it. It did nothing to the tentacle. The tentacle flung itself at them, but Solaire swerved the ship quickly and picked up the speed. Then, another tentacle flew out of the water, as the other one mover closer to the carrier. Nerezza turned around and flung another disk at the first tentacle, not knowing what type of disk it was. Takanuva picked one up, having no idea what any of them were, and flung it at the second one. Hahli just stood there, in panic, as she saw a third and fourth one leap out of the water. These weren’t sharp at the top, but had three claws sticking out. One in the back, two in the front.
The tentacles slowly closed in on them, trapping the carrier. Solaire finally slowed the carrier down and emerged to the top of the carrier with Nerezza, Takanuva, and Hahli. Something else finally arose from the water. But to their surprise, it wasn’t an octopus or squid’s head, but a mechanical being. It’s head looked similar to Borahk Va’s, with a silver Porahk hand and blue eyes. But its body was the size and shape of a Toa. It had sliver shoulders and hips, with gray Borahk arms attached to the shoulders, and gray Toa Nuva legs, and black feet, black hands and claws—as in Onua olda’s claws—and a black torso. All four tentacles connected on his back. It slowly rose out of the water and floated in the air.
It gave off a low, short laugh and said, “Nice finally have the Matoran come and visit the world. But I’m not sure Makuta would allow this.”
“What does Makuta have to this,” Takanuva said, enraged in anger, “He can’t possibly know who you are! And how do you know who we are?”
It gave off the same laugh, but a bit longer than before, “How can he no know me? I am his creation! I have been created by him to destroy intruders trying to get into Iun-Energia! And you despicable Matoran, how can we forget you? You have defeated the master. Something no other race has been able to do. And you’ve done it four or five times! Hm hm hm… But you are here, so why don’t I just crush you.” It glared at them and then smirked.
It lifted one of the pointed tentacles and shot it at Nerezza, Takanuva blocking it.

Chapter 4: Chase for Safety
The tentacle creature retreated his arm and flung both of them at Takanuva. Takanuva tried to block with his staff, but it was flung into the water, and Takanuva flew back from the hit. Then the creature picked him up, and almost threw him into the water with his staff, but was hit in the chest by a disk.
“Take that, scum bag!” Nerezza yelled with rage, “You won’t survive my strength and skill!” He flung three more disks at the creature, and then was gripped by another tentacle. “Put me down ‘dis instant!”
Hahli and Solaire watched in horror as the Takanuva and Nerezza were thrown into the sea. “We must do something!” Solaire cried, “They can’t swim!” The two Ga-Metruans jumped into the sea and grabbed the other two. Hahli grabbed Takanuva’s staff. They submerged from the water and climbed back on the carrier. The being had stuck it’s tentacles down the hatch and searched around for more Metruan. It grabbed Jaller, Kinga, Vento, and Sonido. All of them had no idea what was going on, and they were beating on the creature’s hands. It dove into the water and kept the Matoran/Metruan out of the water so they could breathe. Solaire quickly ran to the navigator’s room, leaving Hahli with a confused Kompa, sickly Takanuva, and a stunned Nerezza.
“Wake up, Takanuva!” Hahli cried, “Come on we need you!”
“What’s going on?” Kompa asked, “I woke up with everyone being grabbed by tentacles. They were swept out of the room through the roof and were crying for help, then you guys came in!”
“A v’ry bad en’my jus’ struck Takanuva an’ squeezed the dayli’s out o us b’fore throwin’ us into the sea!” Nerezza replied with fatigue, “But you five weren’t wake enough to ‘elp fi’t! Serves ‘em for bein’ taken by that thing.”
“Regardless, we need to save them.” Hahli said with a worried tone. “They could be killed. I don’t want to se that happen to Jaller again.”
“And I don’t want that to happen to my friends. We should save them.” Kompa said with agreement.
“‘Ayi! A migh’y good idea.”
Hahli went into the Navigator’s room to see Solaire.
“Is it going well?” Solaire asked.
“Takanuva isn’t waking. I hope he’s okay.”
“Well why are you in here? Why aren’t you helping him?”
“There isn’t anything I can do. But I can help in here.”
“True. Help me find the tracker. I put a ‘mini tracker’ on the tentacle man.”
“Wow, good idea!” Hahli searched for the Tracker around the room. She found it in a pile of stuff apparently stuffed together by the two swerves the carrier made. Hahli pushed a button on it that said, “Track”. It showed that the creature was headed for the island that they were trying to get to. Hahli told this to Solaire.
“Really? Wow, this is strange. I wonder if it has anything to do with the island?”
“It said it did. It said its goal was to destroy anyone trying to get into ‘Iun-Energia’. Apparently Iun-Energia is the island we are heading into.”
There was a moment of silence. “Are you not tired?” Solaire asked.
“Very, but I must help! Anyway, it says here that he going a little slower than us, and looks as though we might catch him before he gets to the island.”
“Just a little faster? I can beat that!” Solaire sped up the carrier so it went way faster than the creature. “How’s that?”
“Now you’ve got it.”
Nerezza was trying to calm down as Kompa tried to wake Takanuva.
“He just won’t wake—“
Takanuva stirred and sat up quickly.
“Where am I?”
“You’re in da carrier. We los’. It took Jaller, Kinga, Vento, and Sonido.” Nerezza was still shaking. Takanuva ran into the Navigator’s room and asked quickly what was going on. Hahli explain so that Solaire could drive. She explained the whole thing.
Solaire noticed the light ahead of them and asked if the light had been doing that for a while. Hahli said it looked like that when she was driving; only it looked just a little fainter.
“Strange. Then that isn’t the sun. That has to be Iun-Energia, or whatever the name of this island is.” Replied Solaire.
It was still dark and cloudy outside, only the waves started to get rough. Takanuva exited the Navigator’s room because of the bumpiness. It started to rain, as they got closer to the island. Finally they saw the four tentacles sticking out of the water. They also heard cries for help. They caught up with the tentacles after a few minutes. They and tentacles stopped, and the creature came out of the water once more. It waited for them to get atop the ship to talk.
“So you all want to challenge me once more, hm? Well, fine then! I’ll just keep your friends’ energy with me.” All four of his tentacles opened up and started to suck in energy from the four Metruan/Matoran. Takanuva stopped this energy eater by shining his light into his eyes. “ARG!” It dropped all four of them, as it covered its eyes. The four fell to the top of the carrier, Kompa, Hahli, Nerezza and Solaire catching their friends.
“Now then, I believe we have some unfinished business to take care or, you thing!” Takanuva said, skipping the name.
“‘You thing’? Is that what you want to call me? Well, I am Octro, the great machine of destruction! And you are Takanuva, correct? I spit at you! You are no more than an ant in my shirt! A minor nuisance. I can squish you like the—“
But Takanuva interrupted him by lunging upward and grabbing the tentacles of his foe. Octro tried to get Takanuva off, but Takanuva cut off two tentacles of Octro that he was on. Takanuva fell to the top of the carrier with both in hand.
