I don't even know the differences between the two since I don't watch G4 anymore. :/

Umm... lemme guess, new host (or two), more of those skits, and some other things?

Edit: Though I haven't heard anything about a 'New X-Play', then again as I said before, I don't watch G4.

Well they pretty much merged X-Play with Cheat!, do interviews with developers, hands-on with upcoming games, stopped the crappy jokes, and less skits. (most of that crap has been pushed over to Attack of The Show.)

I LOVED the crappy skits!

I like early X-Play. Right after it was Extended Play (loved it then too), all the way up to the 3 set that had all the little glass orbs on the ground. That's when it went down hill.

I miss that Tetris Coffee table.

I didn't mind their silly skits, but has there reviews become more unbiased? Cause when I listen to their reviews, it's just silly shinanagins with THEIR view on how good or bad the game is...

In my opinion, game reviews must be objective without any personal thoughts on what the editor thinks of it...just play it, review it, point out it's pros and cons, and that's it...

X Play, to me, has yet to follow this pattern and if this new X Play doesn't have it, they really haven't changed for me...

It's AOTS but they occasionally review games.

-It's the only show that is a Game Review show, and they don't actually get anything like that done anymore.

Isn't that what a review is, though? It's just their opinion, and so far, their opinion has been pretty good. Granted, there are some I highly disagree with, but in general, I believe their pretty accurate.

Or, they at least used to be. I haven't seen the show in a year or two, and as I said earlier, last time they had a set with glass balls on the ground (and Adam breaks one).

I liked it up till the old set I remember; that couch rocked. The skits were entertaining at times, but usally annoying when I just wanted to hear the damned review.
No opinion yet on the new one.

To prove my point, look at reviews from game editors in magazines and look at the ones X Play gives...I can grantee you the magazine ones are much more objective than the ones X Play gives...I think their just trying to make the review all "hip" when talking about it, which is really just lame in my opinion...

If you really want an improvment to X Play, kick Morgan off the show, as ever since she arrived, it's just been crap to me...
