Title: Some 80's Vg Cartoon
Nam-Ereh-Won - December 7, 2003 03:54 AM (GMT)
Me and a friend were discussing the "dimensional converters" I think they were called in RockMan.EXE and the discussion got to games/anime/books/movies/shows about people crossing from cyber to real world and vice-versa and I remembered this cartoon from the late 80's early 90's about this teenager who got sucked into a world of NES characters and he had a Zapper and a controller that he used to manipulate stuff in there or something along those lines. Anyway, does anyone know the name of that show?

Captain Nintendo.
Don't ask how I know that. :eh:

Captain N the game master. Man that show was "MEGA-awesome" (pun intended if you knew how Megaman spoke in this show you'd get it)
In anycase Simon Belmont was my favorite character in that show. Why? Cause even if he was nothing but a snivelling, naive, and downright vain coward. He was truly the man that way and that made him cool.

I wish they'd get all the 80's and 90's shows back in stores again there's so many series I want to invest in
Sonic SatAM
Captain N
Super Mario Super Show
Legend of Zelda (you used to be able to download them off Zelda universe but you can't anymore)
And one of my most favorite series
Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars which may have been just like Star Wars but with furries but man it was THE coolest show with furries before Sonic came around. It was also an NES game back in the day
Here's a page to explain the series if anyone is interested.

*shudder*
That show scared me back then.
Currently, I'm looking for the Inuyasha and Slayers (all three series) box sets. I guess we should get the Trigun box set too, but I want the mangas more for that series.

eh I'm more into Ranma 1/2 than Inu-Yasha myself. I do want to see slayers though that sounds like a great series.
As for the show scaring you, well it's ok but still it was more awesome than GIJOE and that's a hard thing to do. Although nothing beats Old school Ninja Turtles, the new cartoon just isn't that great.

*marks out for Old School T.M.N.T.*

must find some old SatAM, and then buy some new Sonic X tapes.
or perhaps just go out and buy some Archie Comics. or get to flibbin work on my scripts so i can send them to a comic artist.
and new T.M.N.T.'s all right, but lately has gotten a little wierd, with the whole "Turtles in Space" thing...

I dont like it, for a simple fact they did nearly all the characters in all respected games wrong, megaman is blue, and simon looks like this

OLD look <- -> New true look

Odd thing about Captain N...
If you compare the characters in that with the characters in Sonic SatAM, you can find similarities!
Captain N/Kevin <-> Sonic
Lana <-> Sally
Simon Belmont <-> Antoine
Megaman <-> Bunnie
Kid Icarus <-> Tails
Dr. Wright <-> Rotor
Gameboy <-> Nicole
I'm just glad they didn't mutilate Link and Zelda like they did the other charas in that cartoon.
Creepy - December 28, 2003 03:16 AM (GMT)
Yeah, they gave him his OWN show to be mutilated in.

No no...I mean on Captain N. When they brought Link and Zelda on for a few episodes, they actually looked true to the games! Hell...Link looked a bit more kickass!

o.o;;; Thinking of the old T.M.N.T. makes me remember the first anime I ever saw outside Speed Racer... I got up at the usual time and turned to the same channel, or, I think I did. Anyhow, I was 7. Turns out I was watching Sailor Moon, lol. I was a real baka back then. But that's off topic. I loved the old T.M.N.T., the Legend of Zelda, Megaman, and ESPECIALLY the Mario Bros. Show. I'm gonna buy the DVDs, just for a blast to the past. ^.^ Besides... I NEVER SAW THAT MMX EPISODE ON MEGAMAN!!!

I remember watching the Super Mario Show when I was in Pre-K ^_^ that show was so funny.
Check this out Prismaya, unless you've already got it that is.
