Same could be asked about other mediocre manga/anime like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, etc.
Though quite frankly, manga still isn't better than good ol' Marvel & DC.

At least Naruto and Bleach haven't been around as long! I think Dragonball has been drug through the dirt enough. It deserves to rest. D:

Well, I'm a fan of dragonball; so I'm happy. And, it's not quite as overrated (these days) as Naruto and Bleach are. Especially Naruto. Don't get me started on that.

Well, They dont really specify what kind of anime it will be...
And from the way it's phrased, maybe we'll get lucky and they'll make an anime version of that One Piece/Dragon Ball Z crossover they did a while back.

The series was ended with Buu's death, and that's how it should have stayed. But no, they had to exhaust it even more with GT...
As much as I like DB (OMG someone actually likes it? IMPOSSIBLE!), I think they've just about done it to death, and thensome. Just give the series a break, let folks get used to other overhyped anime like Naruto or Bleach. Then come back in full force with a mighty KAMEHAMEHA to the face! *Catches the brick and throws it back.* Ha! Got the little S.O.B. that time!

Seems to be nothing more than an OVA at best, maybe another crossover.

I'm happy it's only an OVA; if it were an ew series, that'd suck. It was drawn out with GT already, so yeah.

I've been a fan of Dragon Ball Z ever since I first saw it. I used to just think it was a American Cartoon with a different Style. Then I hit the internet, and went to Public school and found out I was mis-guided and that it was Anime, not an American Cartoon, and since I'm also a One Piece fan. I'd love to see that awesome Crossover thing that I saw awhile back.

Wait, new Dragonball? Ok I havent been a huge fan since DBZ ended over here and DBGT was bleh to me. I just hope this one doesn't suck cause I miss my old fandom sometimes. Hope it's not going to be long so yeah OVA will be good.

Akira Toriyama, the original creator had almost nothing to do w/GT, save for a few character designs.
The rest was all just milking an old series.

Yeah and that milk was still a little sour. Except SSJ4, I kinda liked a SSJ form that didn't have yellowish hair. Eh lets just hope that they don't Add a SSJ5 like fans use to (and still do cause of the so called AF) in this new DB thing cause 2 was more then enough.
