Which is rare because that "other series" with the giant robots pretty much scarred Sunirse's relationship with William Street fore a while now.

I am watching it currently, and it has more similarities with Death Note than anything; with all the "wtfcheesecakeitsatrap" logic the main characters put together off the top of their heads. I am enjoying it.
I think the reasons why Adult Swim is going for it are:
1.) Its insane popularity in Japan.
2.) Its less about giant robots, and more about characters and plot.

close but I was referring to gundam seed. That wass the last series Cartoon Network showed that was done by Sunrise. But still, I do want a third season of Big O.

IT had good character development(any series that hooks up the main character with a bitch hell bent on revenge its good in my books), but it's mechs were just updated rehashes of all the other mobile suits.

Finished the series last night. All in all, it was pretty good. They added in a nice twist at the end to fuel Season 2.
As I was watching though, the series is a lot less like Gundam, and a lot more like Full Metal Panic. (Which I am not sure who picked up, but I know its been liscenced for awhile now.)
