Title: Top 10 best & worst movies you've seen this year

V-202 Davva - December 29, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
Since 2007 is drawing to a close, I’ve decided to do a topic about the top 10 best & worst films that YOU have seen this year. Just be sure to respect about others opinions. Just because they like/dislike the movie that you liked/disliked, doesn’t mean you should tell them to like/dislike it. Not everyone will agree with you.

Feel free to give reasons why liked/disliked that film. With that said, here are my top ten best & worst films I’ve seen this year…

No offense, but the Simpsons movie was great, and so was Spider Man 3; why you considered those two to be the worst of 2007 is way beyond me. Beowulf was okay, and TMNT was good; I mean, it's been years since we've seen another TMNT movie since that shit-fest of the third movie, but this one made it all up. Ghost Rider is pretty decent, but not the best. Transformers was more of a Dawson's creek movie with the Transformers as cameos, so I can't say it's the best movie of 2007.

That's all I got to say. I cannot agree with your list at all, as there are many holes in it that need to be covered, and the movies you picked didn't help at all.

Oh my God, what?

I don't think I saw ten films at the cinema this year, but there were a few cracking ones I caught:
  • I Am Legend (The dodgy religious stuff was excusable, because Will Smith can do no wrong)
  • The Bourne Ultimatum
  • 28 Weeks Later. It was good, and they are zombies.
  • Beowulf. Naked demons and stabbing and mighty Cockney heroes.
And a couple of awful films that I didn't watch:
  • FUCKING TRANSFORMERS
  • Daddy Day Camp or whatever the hell that was.

I can't remember which movies I've watched over a bloody year. I can't remember what I yesterday damnit.

Best movies I can think of I've watched?

Pan's Labyrinth
V for Vendetta
Golden Compass

And obviously if I don't remember any other names they weren't worth mentioning.

-and fuck you if they weren't in 2007, they're still my votes.

Oh God, Golden Compass was amazing. Not as good as the book, but still good.

Oh God, Golden Compass was amazing. Not as good as the book, but still good.

I'm saddened how much they changed, and hell the re-arrangement of Bolvanger and the Bear King didn't... make much sense. And they cut off the ending. That... really pissed me off.

-But bear fights? Fuck yes.

0ctane - December 29, 2007 07:43 PM (GMT)
Golden Compass is good? I might go see it then, I loved the book.

Korvaz - December 29, 2007 07:48 PM (GMT)

03) Super Bad
04) Epic Movie

*adds one more name to his list of 'People to never take movie advice from'*

Great movies I've seen in theaters this year:
The Kingdom (lean, mean, doesn't pander or preach)
Stephen King's The Mist (it's Frank Durabont's The Thing. Best fucking horror movie in the last decade)
Bourne Ultimatum (Great pacing, great action, never lets up)
300 (Pure cinematic testosterone. Only movies that are manlier are Dirty Dozen, The Wild Bunch and Predator)

Good movies I've seen in theaters this year:
Spiderman 3 and Pirates 3 (fuck you and your bandwagon-jumping bullshit, those weren't bad movies at all)

Bad movies I've seen in theaters this year:
I don't go to the theaters to see bad movies. I wait for DVD if I'm iffy about a movie.

I don't go to theaters that much anymore. As such, I've missed some movies from this year that I've really want to see (No Country, Devil Knows You're Dead, Gone Baby Gone, There Will Be Blood, Beowulf, 3:10 To Yuma, etc).

Wolf - December 29, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
Eh, I can't pick. And I'm not that much of a movie person anyway.

Good movies from this year:
-Bourne Ultimatum (Like Shake said, great pace. Didn't feel like it dragged on and before I knew it 2 hours had just about gone by.)
-Hot Fuzz
-Borat
-Simpson's Movie was also pretty good, and I'm not that huge of a fan anymore.
-1408 (eh, I loved it.)

Worst movies:
... I dunno, Epic Movie wasn't that great and I could only stand a few minutes before I got bored?

Lightspeeds - December 31, 2007 04:28 PM (GMT)
The jokes in Epic movie were mediocre. But the only good movies I've saw was the Comebackers, Spider Man 3, and Resident Evil: Extinction. (before you say anything, i thought it was good.)
