Title: MegaMan Movie on cartoon network
Anonymous - August 25, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
While scanning through the guide to see what's on later, I read that at 7:00 PM Eastern time, a 2 hour Megaman movie is on. IMDB doesn't have any info, so would anybody know anything about it?

Not really, I did just verify it though!

And be thankful it's listed as "Animated", so don't worry about possible crappy live action.

It's supposedly the old series.
I dunno much about it though. Maybe they're playing those Wish Upon A Star Anime ones or something. Or they could just be playing a few episodes of the old cartoon.
I don't know much about it myself. I figure you may as well just watch a few minutes of it when it comes on, unless you don't like Megaman.

Might be the new Starforce Anime. *TiVo'd*
Himo Galanodel - August 25, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
No, it's the original megaman... Besides, we won't have Starforce for another couple years, if ever >.<

Actually, I think we're supposed to get Starforce soon. I don't really care much about it though.
But yeah. It's probally either some episodes from the original cartoon, or they're just gonna play the Wish Upon A Star OVAs. I'm hoping for the later, honestly, since I've never seen them before.
Fireyone - August 25, 2007 09:30 PM (GMT)
Hmm.... never even heard of the Wish Upon A Star OVA's.... TO WIKIPEDIA!

Yeah, that one. I saw a small clip of it once. I figure they might be playing that one or something.
No way to tell till it airs though.
EDIT: Huh. My cable guide says it's Starforce, and it has a description that sounds like it. Maybe they're just playing some of Starforce then.

Thought so. They've been playing it on Jetstream for a while now.

But...Starforce is horrible D: . It's just Megaman X Battlenetwork-ified.

Yeah, although I haven't actually played Starforce yet, I'm not really liking what I've seen/heard of it. I was kinda tired of the Battle Network games after 3, and now they're just making Battle Network X, but with Radio Waves instead of the internet.
But, whatever. Kids these days don't even know who the original Megaman is. They only know about their newfangled Megaman X and Megaman.exe and whatnot.
-I wish they'd make more Classic Series games, dammit.

Starforce isn't horrible, I mean, I like it better than I ever liked X. The battle system is alot better than EXE, but I digress from what I'd like to be saying here.
If capcom would actually pursue redoing the first three games like they did the original MegaMan with Powered Up! all these punk kids would know the original MegaMan. Of course, they'd have to put it on a better selling system than the PSP or PS3.
MegaMan Powered Up! proved that the only way Capcom can make a truly good MegaMan game these days is to remake the originals. Shame it was on the PSP, though.
