What you guys don't seem to get is that all the old cartoons we used to watch were based on the pop culture of the time. Making a movie out of it nowadays and retaining the pop from back then would be theatrical suicide.
If this is real, I hope it completely goes the comedy route. Like give Alvin a deep voice and all that jazz.

Honestly, I don't quite care about this. It looks like it's gonna be crappy, but I'm not a HUGE ALIVN AND THE CHIPMUNKS FAN or anything, so I'm just going to ignore the movie and not go see it, and all will be fine.
It'll still make me question humanity, like Bratz The Movie though.
