Description: HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Lesbian StrikerS Lover - July 3, 2007 06:15 AM (GMT)
First off, I don't care how you all do it, but go see this damn movie. I am serious when I say that it is the best I've seen.
Second, ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod giant robots beating the crap out of each other is just plain awesome. In fact, the whole movie was awesome. Go see it NOW or else I'll personally come and kill you.

I'm not a Transformers fan, so no. D:
Jamer - July 3, 2007 06:25 AM (GMT)
I've seen it. It's pretty good, but too long. WAY TOO LONG!

Like fuck. Pirates 3 was way too long. Transformers felt like it went by in an hour. An hour of awesomeness that can only be topped by the second Transformers movie.

Capitalistic Blasphemer! Even my sister is a Transformers fan! And you call yourself a Hero of TFS
Metal Speed - July 3, 2007 06:55 AM (GMT)
I saw it, it was the only good movie Michael Bay is responsible for, and single-handedly my favorite Live Action Movie.
It definitely did Transformers justice, and I await the sequal.
Demigod - July 3, 2007 07:38 AM (GMT)
I guess I'll have to go see it for my own safety then.
Fireyone - July 3, 2007 10:18 AM (GMT)
Hell Link! You don't have to tell me twice to go see it! I've been eagerly awaiting it ever since I saw the first trailer :3. I shall tell you my experience when I return.
Hazzardous - July 3, 2007 11:08 AM (GMT)
This was actually worth my eight bucks...plus soda and popcorn. Just hearing the good old voice of Optimus was worth it....though, I wish they brought back the original voice of Megatron...not saying Hugo didn't do a good job however...
The only thing I'd nitpick was certain parts of the comedy extended to long and making the super-secret agents dickheads and idiots seemed questionable...
But the battles in this were action-packed to the limit and many of the Transformer weapons made returned (For true Transformer fans, Optimus used a sword and Megatron used a Morning Star or Frail)
However, I was saddened that Soundwave was not in this...maybe he'll be in the second movie (Which you all KNOW is going to come out after this...)

No comprendo senor.
@Hazzardous: I thought that Optimus used an axe in the old series?

Oh wait a minute....that's right! It was an energy axe.....guess I wasn't paying attention during the movie...my bad (Although, we could just meet in the middle and say the one in the movie was a sickle sword, a cross between a sword and an axe ^_^;;; )
RyouKysler - July 3, 2007 07:21 PM (GMT)
Well it beats the crap out of the really old transormer movies...the old ones are crap.Transformers was awesome i love smashing car, giant robots beating the hell out of eachother, the freeway scene and hella its awesome...maybe more than spiderman 3...and pirates 3...
Gamemastermz - July 3, 2007 07:26 PM (GMT)
*Sigh big time* I wish I could see the movie right away, but I am not as lucky as most of you. I haven't been to a theater for the longest time and this movie would be one to watch. Oh well, I'll wait like usual for the movie to come out for DVD.

tunafish! The originals were the best. The new series tunafish in comparison. Only Armada was the good one of the three. Energon? BORING! Cybertron? Only a tiny bit better since it had Vector Prime :D. All in all this movie will kickass harder then pirates.

Looks like we have ourselves a geewuner in our midst. Just to let you know, the cartoon isn't the end all be all of the G1 universe. There are other awesome things, too!
As for the movie, I'm seriously contemplating going to see it again. Just need to find when I can go 8D
Metal Speed - July 3, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
Okay, I'll nit-pick a little.
Starscream needed more lines, there weren't enough for you to really tell how well the new guy did on the voice.
All the Autobots had the perfect personalities, though, especially Bumblebee.

I know there are more awesome things out there but, I'm just saying out of all the series G1 had the best writing staff. Mostly now a days they're just rehashing. Only Did cybertron have anything we could consider a new storyline.
Hazzardous - July 3, 2007 08:18 PM (GMT)
By the way, did any of you fans of Tranformers catch the infamous quotes from Optimus in this? I seemed to remember three:
1. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" <--this was the new one from the movie...which I thought was genius -_^
2. "Autobots, transform and roll out!"<---I don't know if he said transform, but I do know he said roll out...
3. "One shall stand, One shall fall" <---ah, the infamous quote from the cartoon movie...I knew he was going to say that as he was saying "By the end of this day..."
I don't include the "More than meets the eye" as anyone can say that....not just Optimus...

Of course most of the stuff after G1 is going to be rehashes. Autobot and Decepticon war can't really be changed all that much. And Armada was awesome for Starscream alone. He suddenly grew a personality!
I thought Movie Starscream was pretty awesome. His actions told his personality. He did very little and continually waited until the time was right. The one thing I don't like is how Barricade just disappears after the Highway scene. It was also fuckawesome how Prime defeated Bonecrusher!
Fireyone - July 3, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
Dude thats beacuase everyone know Prime is kickass and could defeat Megatron hands down even with the Transformers equalvilant to being Drunk :D. I just want to hear Hugo from the game it sounds like he does a good G1 Megatron voice.

Decapping of a Deception...haha....
I don't know why Prime didn't use the sword against Megatron....vice versa, why didn't Megatron use his mace (morning star) against Optimus...such a battle would have harked back to the old school era once again as while not sure of the episode number, Megatron and Optimus have a Arena battle, in which Megatron cheats by eating energon or something...
Lesbian StrikerS Lover - July 3, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
More Than Meets the Eye, Part 2. Second episode 8D
And Mr. Welker actually voiced Megs in the game.
Fireyone - July 3, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
I've seen that episode there's a clip on Youtube. I'll grab it later but, seriously How is voice work for Megatron? I expect he comes in sometime half-way through the film. I haven't seen it yet I have to wait till 10:10 Pm tonight to see it :P.
EDIT: Wait Good Ole Megatron from G1 did voice work for the Game :D PURE AWESOME! I knew it didn't sound like Hugo but I thought it was because of the movie.
Lesbian StrikerS Lover - July 3, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
I couldn't actually tell that it was Hugo voicing Megs. The voice was so low and distorted and menacing that it just didn't seem to fit with him. The voice, however, was damn nice. As I said, low and menacing. Got to love the line he says when he attacks Jazz.
Oh and the previous post I made had the episode where the energy weapons first appear. I couldn't tell which episode you wanted XD;
Fireyone - July 3, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
I just can't wait to see the film tonight :D It's gonna be awesome! I love that they brought back Peter Cullens. The guy is a genius I tell you! (Check his IDBM). Also
this is just aawesome remake of the theme! Preformed by Black Lab.

You mean the one where they built a cannon on top of a hill and attempted to rule the universe with it?
Anyways, hopefully seeing it tomorrow.
Does the transfomers still only have 18 spoken lines?

Neither could I....I was somewhat expecting elements of Agent Smith or Elrond in this....but none the less, I actually liked it -_^
Lesbian StrikerS Lover - July 3, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
The Linkin Park rejects theme is better simply because of how horrid it is. Come on, AUTOBOTS ARE WATCHING OVER YOU!!!
Since we're here, what view do you have on the toyline? I am actually quite impressed with how close Hasbro got to the movie designs. Only ones I don't really like are Swindle, Blackout, and Scorponok. Megs is actually pretty nice once you get past the horrid QC and fix him up yourself.
Fireyone - July 3, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
I actually like the Autobots they look Great in Vehicle form and in Robot closely resemble their on-screen counterparts.
Hazzardous - July 3, 2007 08:53 PM (GMT)
The theme's nice, but I much prefer the movie one as that one had a chorus with it when the shouted Transformers!!!
Lesbian StrikerS Lover - July 3, 2007 08:58 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the Autobots are nice. Optimus is just full of sex. Rachet is green. <3 that green. Jazz has a cool factor to him that none of the other Autobots have. Ironhide isn't all that great, but better than most. He needs a more stable waist. Bumblebee just fails as a toy. Looks ugly and the automorph gimmick is touchy as hell. The Takara version looks way better with the see through windows.
Are you talking about the Mutemath version? That sucks as well. I don't know, perhaps they should have just reused the White Lion theme back from the old animated movie.

You guys are so lucky. Because the movie won't be out in my country untill 27/7/2007. The film was originally going to be released world-wide first thing tomorrow.
Still, I'll be looking forward to it when it does arrive...

well i havent watched the oldies in a long time so...yeah...but you have to admit this is the best transformer movie graphics.Maybe just cuz its not a cartoon and the graphics are digital...
Bitor - July 4, 2007 12:24 AM (GMT)
Okay wait. Wait wait wait. You're saying this movie is good? And it didn't totally take the story in the wrong direction? I was getting the impression that it was going to be told from the humans' perspective, with the transformers being alien invaders.
So you're saying it's good, it actually does justice to the series, and it's GOOD? Maybe I'll go out and see it after all, even though I was only into the Beast Wars series.
Lesbian StrikerS Lover - July 4, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
Since when hasn't Transformers been about an alien invasion? It was told through several points of view, the most predominant one being Sam's. The story is as Transformers has been: the Autobots want to protect all sentient life from the Decepticons.
Yes, it's good. Get over any barriers you might have about it. The designs work, the voices work, the story works, the actors work, everything works.
Bitor - July 4, 2007 01:18 AM (GMT)
From the commercials I've been seeing lately, it looked like they bastardized the story and made the Transformers into a race of alien robots sent to conquer Earth. That's what I meant.

Well if you must know, Optimus Prime narrates much of the movie anyway...
