Just felt like sharing some stuff I found.
So I'm Swedish and all that... I was randomly scrolling around YouTube when I found some dubs I had never heard of or seen before of an anime called Cyborg 009. The people who grew up with this claims that it's great and surpasses the original japanese version. Now, I understand if they love it. But I beg to differ. Just watch some of these. You don't need to understand what they're saying, just watch.

The acting is terrible and it appears that they didn't use any female voice actors at all. And they really don't know how to sound like girls. And well... it's just horrifying.
Sure, I grew up with a lot of Swedish dubs of old anime, but none of them were as bad as this.

Wow, that IS bad voice acting...The D1GP announcer has a higher voice than most of the female characters. and he's a guy.
The Swedes seem to do so much so well, too...Saab Jets, Saab AND Volvo Cars...

Ah cyborg 009 i remember it. I got so sick of old/new girlfriends and old/new friends who werent part of the main group dieing over and over and over and over, i just stopped watching the damn thing.

It is a women. They all wear the same suits. Even the psychic baby. O and their all cyborgs...god i wont go into details.
At least this time i can make myself avoid watching bad dubs. I take all you peoples' words for it.

Actually, I only think they could afford ONE voice-actor. Or NO voice-actors at all. Sounds like he's barely reading a script.
But yeah, this was some time ago before anime became mainstream here. Still feels like they dubbed more anime back then than they do now.
But yes, there were some bad dubs back then and some good ones.
Silver Fang/Ginga Nagareboshi Gin for instance is a classic altough it had it's share of edits and bad actors too.
Cyborg 009 on the other hand seems to be one of the worst cases.
It's one of those "Who approved of this, how did it hit the shelves and who would want to buy it?" cases.

Holy CRAP. Just from hearing the voices of the girls in the first two clips, I saw how horrible it was. They both sounded like guys. It's just farcical.
