Apparently they plan for two different cartoons, one for a younger audience, and one for an older audience.

I don't think it'll go too well, it just seems like an odd idea... I'll probably try watching an episode or two before I say anything more opinion-wise on it.

There's gonna be so many whip jokes in those series its not even funny. -.-;;

The 'two audiences' thing is a good idea. I wish most other animes would do that.

Castlevania has a deep, interconnected storyline that spans a millenia.

That, and it has some of the best material for a series, ever.

Problem is, will they be able to take it from game format to story, or will they botch it up, like so many others.

They sound confident, but so did Uwe Boll. I'll watch it, and see for myself, though.

I highly agree with you on that. >_^

A Castlevania anime...I think this'll turn out cool. XD

It's... so... beautifal! I pray to god this turns out well, I've always wanted a Castlevania anime, ever since my first Castlevania game!

I'll probally watch both of them.

Now you know what would be really funny?

If they played the two back to back, and each episode had the same storyline.

Example: In one episode, some monster steals something from the Belmont. In Castlevania Jr. they solve their problems nicely and all learn a lesson. In the other Castlevania, the Belmont burtally murders all of them.

That would be the best thing ever.

Now that is funny! But I think they'll only be connected with minor things, and possibly some aspects of any backstories about the castlevania world.

If they actually made TWO versions, that would be awesome. Hopefully they won't mess it up, or make it like the Disgaea:Hour of Darkness Anime.

EDIT: Oops, I'm gravedigging. *looks to the left, then to the right*

*Jumps in an Arwing*

Starfox AWAAAY!

Unless it's Sonia, because she has an excuse for not being in pants. (And is > All other Belmonts after Simon)
