REGINA, Saskatchewan -- A real cowboy is never caught without his boots, but his pants are another matter.

Police in Regina found a bare-butted cowboy hanging from a fence. It seems the Canadian cowpoke had a little too much to drink at an agriculture festival Saturday night.

He tried climbing an 8-foot-tall fence but snagged a pant leg, leaving him dangling upside down. He dropped his cell phone, too. Police said he unzipped his pants to get free, but discovered he couldn't get them off.

He eventually reached the phone's keypad and dialed 911. Officers found the cowboy, still hanging upside down, with his pants down to his knees.

A police sergeant said other than suffering from the cold and embarrassment, the cowboy is OK.
