Originally Titled: Four More Years: Kerry To Concede Election To Bush

A closely contested presidential race appears to be near an end. Senator John Kerry has reportedly called "President" George W. Bush to discuss his plans to concede the election on Wednesday.

Kerry is expected to make his concession speech at 1 p.m. ET at Faneuil Hall in Boston. Kerry called Bush Wednesday morning and said he didn't want to contribute to further division in the country.

Kerry pressed Bush to unite the divided nation. <_<

Bush called Kerry "an honorable and worthy opponent." :)P

The news comes surprisingly quick given that America awoke to an election without a clear winner. The Kerry campaign had held out hope that uncounted votes in urban areas of Ohio would tip the balance. However, Bush's lead in that tight race appears significant enough to give him the state.

A day after near-record numbers turned out to vote, the outcome of the most expensive presidential race in the country's history was unclear this morning. As of 7 a.m. ET, "President" Bush was ahead on electoral votes 254 to Senator John Kerry's 252, with 270 needed to win. Still not fully counted were votes from Ohio, Iowa and New Mexico.

Ironically, what held up the final count were provisional ballots, which were instituted as an attempt to fix some of the problems that occurred in Florida during the fiercely contested election between "President" Bush and former Vice President Al Gore in 2000. Provisional ballots are cast when there is a question about the eligibility of the voter, leaving it up to the state to sort out any issues after the election.

Ohio was a pivotal swing state throughout the election, and the candidates visited more than 80 times during the campaign.

Overall, Bush holds a slim lead in the popular vote over Kerry, 51 to 48 percent, taking more popular votes than any president in history, due to the large turnout. The margin between the men that really mattered, however, were the 134,000 votes in Ohio.

He didn't punk out, he bowed out gracefully and noble. The image of the Democratic Party was at stake here. How bad it looks for them if they went to the crap again.

Shadow - November 3, 2004 07:26 PM (GMT)
FUCK THAT!!! You could at least wait until all the votes were counted before you pussy out of this!!!!

Fuck this! Fuck voting! Fuck an election! Fuck Bush for being "re-elected"!! Fuck Kerry for being a punk ass bitch!! Fuck Politics!!!!!

Illpoetic - November 3, 2004 07:27 PM (GMT)
don't let this stop you from excercising your right to vote. Things will not always go right but you can't just give up. You gotta keep your voice.

Shadow - November 3, 2004 07:33 PM (GMT)
What for? You just saw how dirty politics helped Bush win! My Dad told me that voting didn't matter. I didn't wanna listen. I see it clearly now.

Voting doesn't mean shit!!! As long as you're a rich, White man, you count. Other than that, you're a piece of tissue to wipe their wrinkled ass with.

Illpoetic - November 3, 2004 07:33 PM (GMT)
thats what they want you to think.

Shadow - November 3, 2004 07:37 PM (GMT)
Okay.....prove to me that my vote matters. How does it matter when Bush cheated? How?????

Illpoetic - November 3, 2004 07:42 PM (GMT)
I can't prove anything to you because I don't know all of the details. But what I do know is that our ancestors did not have the right to vote and they fought and some even died for that right and for us not to excercise that right is a smack in the face.

if they have to cheat then that is their fault, but if we don't vote we have no one to blame but ourselves.

10th letter q-boro - November 3, 2004 07:45 PM (GMT)
Okay, illpoetic was part of a state where Bush won. She busted her hump to try to not make that happen. This will make her hungrier and bust her hump twice as hard next time around and she will go on and vote in other areas to go for things she wants in a local level as well. That is a problem with our country. We are a product of what our parents believe in. My mom became a US citizen in 1996 after 30 years living here. The first thing she did was register to vote and let her voice be heard. i didn't register yet and I asked her Why. She said because if she has the right now to do so. If not, I can believe in something and since I would not help support the cause, it will fade away and people will do things I will hate and cannot do anything about. I started voting the next year.

Illpoetic - November 3, 2004 07:51 PM (GMT)
I got a lot of respect for you queens.

I wish more people had the sense you have.

Rizoh - November 3, 2004 08:09 PM (GMT)
Let's understand one thing here: as you're fighting hard to put something in place, there's just as many people fighting to take it away and that's the harsh reality. But if you succumb to such forces, your weakness will be taken advantage of repeatedly, that's why I'm glad to hear that after what happened yesterday, people like Ill and Queens are still willing to stand up for what they believe in, next time. And I hope Shadow and others that have been disheartened will follow suit.
It's a polarized world, and nothing's gonna change that.

TriangleOffense - November 3, 2004 08:11 PM (GMT)
Congratulations to George W. Bush

10th letter q-boro - November 3, 2004 08:16 PM (GMT)
Congratualtion to the sucessful reelection. As bad as people make him, he does try for us and if it not what you agree works for you, others say it has. I am not talking about the rich either, anybody in an construction union job went Bush and they are hard working Americans. Firemen and poloce officers as well, it is a slight edge for Bush.

Shadow - November 3, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
Yea...Congrats to Anarchy, Racism, and the chance for the Draft to return. Congrats to the GREATEST CHEATER IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA!!!

Whatever. <_<

Shadow - November 3, 2004 08:22 PM (GMT)
Yea...Bush tries hard for you if you're Rich and not a Minority. Bush doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone or anything if it isn't money or power based!

Politics is just that dirty! I know I'm saying shit that's already been said, but fuck it. I'm divorcing myself from American Politics altogether. I'm leaving this bullshit country. Bush and his cronies can have it!!!!

NsaneC - November 3, 2004 08:47 PM (GMT)
first of all kerry didn't punk out. He lost. he admitted he lost.

I got in a ton of heated discussions today at school.

The thing i find stupid is that people still are misinformed about what is going on in the world. People still think Saddam was connected with 9/11, Al Qaeda, and Osama Bin Laden. :eyecrazy: ALso people still think Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. :eyess:

Alot of people in this world are very ignorant and close minded.

NsaneC - November 3, 2004 08:55 PM (GMT)
i also hate it when people think Bush is religious and that is the reason why he is against abortion and stem cell research. BUllSHit. Bush doesn't care about any of those aborted babies. And he sure as hell don't care when that baby is born.

everyone in the world knows that Bush is a bad president but the united states. if you were to poll all of europe, Kerry would win by a landslide. 90% of the vote.

10th letter q-boro - November 3, 2004 09:11 PM (GMT)
That is Europe though. They want us to fall and not be the so called greatest nation inb the world. Kerry would have brought the draft too, that should be a non issue. He was stated in the summer for the draft. Even if he says no now, can that be trusted? And if you feel like you need to leave, well that is a bit extreme. There is no way this nation can succomb to any attack. We have only been hit three times in our nation's history. And two are our strongest allies now, Britain and Japan.

Illpoetic - November 3, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
fuck bush.

Shadow - November 4, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
Fuck Bush! Fuck Kerry! Fuck Nader! Fuck Politics!!!

NsaneC - November 4, 2004 01:07 AM (GMT)
We have a backdoor draft right now w/ Bush. when was kerry supporting a draft?? don't think that ever happened. How can you trust Bush, what has Bush ever done to make me trust him?? nothing. Bush believes everything he does is right and that he never makes any mistakes.

10th letter q-boro - November 4, 2004 02:58 AM (GMT)
Over the summer Kerry said, the draft can be an option and would support one if it came down that path.

Illpoetic - November 7, 2004 12:08 AM (GMT)
I'm thinking theres going to be a draft because I'm thinking this war is going to go on for well over 6 years.

NsaneC - November 7, 2004 08:53 PM (GMT)
if there is a draft, i am either going to canada or i'm going to jail, definitely not fighting in the war.

Illpoetic - November 8, 2004 12:50 AM (GMT)
I got a feeling if there is one they are not going to allow people who leave the country to be exempt.

and I wouldn't fight either...not for something I don't believe in. They would have to send my ass to jail.

Shadow - November 8, 2004 01:54 AM (GMT)
Check this out. I was watching CNN the other day. Canada's been busy rummaging through all the Immigration Applications.

Wanna know how many applications was put in since Bush "won" the 2004 Election??? 115,000!!!!!!!

I'm planning to join them. I got to before the draft. That way, Bush's dumbass can't drag me back to the U.S. and fight his RIDICULOUS war!! FUCK BUSH!!!

Shadow - November 8, 2004 01:56 AM (GMT)
Oh, I forgot to add this.

Yea, yea...I'm back into politics. It took me awhile to swallow the STUPIDITY and CHICKENSHITNESS of those who voted for Bush!

Fear of Gays and Terrorism=Votes for Bush

Illpoetic - November 8, 2004 05:17 PM (GMT)
yes, but weren't you one of those who voted to keep gays from marrying yourself? So doesn't that put you in that "fear of gays" category

Shadow - November 8, 2004 07:03 PM (GMT)
Yea, you got me on that one. I did vote for the ban, but not for Bush. I agree with Civil Unions, not marriage.

Bush doesn't like Gays, PERIOD!!! I don't hate them, but I don't agree with their lifestyles.

There's a difference!

Illpoetic - November 9, 2004 03:50 AM (GMT)
when you vote to have their rights taken away because you don't care for their lifestyle then I see no difference.

NsaneC - November 9, 2004 04:42 AM (GMT)
Everyone in this country has the same rights. If your gay it doesn't make you less of a person. You still have the right to be married if you want.

Shadow - November 9, 2004 05:14 AM (GMT)
I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna change my opinion. I don't agree with Gay Marriages. It doesn't make me an Anti-Gay person (all the way through). I'm just one dude who would attend a Civil Union ceremony, not a Gay Wedding!

The "Married" title belongs to a Man and Woman, not 2 people of the same sex! Now, you can call me every name that you can think of, but you can't say I change my opinion to fit in. I don't wanna be accused of "Flip-Flopping", like Bush's retarded ass did to Kerry!

Shadow - November 9, 2004 05:22 AM (GMT)
I already know what's coming..... <_<

"You're adding Religion to this conversation. The Bible was written by man. Marriage is man-made. Blah, Blah, Blah! Yap, Yap, Yap!"

You can say that all you want to. But, that still won't move me. I'm still gonna say that Gay Marriages aren't right. I agree with Civil Unions, not Gay Marriages!!

That doesn't mean that I want to see all Gay people die and go to Hell. It doesn't mean that I'm completely anti-Gay. I just don't agree with their lifestyles.

People can't be forced to agree with something they don't agree with. That would be completely fake. Why lie about what you like and don't like? I can't be fake about this. I'm gonna put my opinion down and that's it. :FIRE:

Sorry about sounding abrasive, but I've had a long day. Peace! :pimp:

HOLLA AT YA BOY!!!!

10th letter q-boro - November 9, 2004 07:43 AM (GMT)
Actually, the writers or oppressors that created the Old Testament portion of the bible got the notion of marriage from another culture and they performed them to any two individuals, man/woman, man/man, woman/woman.

Illpoetic - November 9, 2004 05:44 PM (GMT)
The government should not regulate people's lifestyles. The government should not impose morals upon people, and Shadow you are a BIGOT for voting for such an ammendment to limit the rights of others just because they are different from you and you do not "approve" of their lifestyle. Their sexual orientation quite frankly is none of your or anyone elses business. Thats like making an ammendment banning anyone who has been promiscuous from marrying. It is completely retarded. But I've already realized that the majority of the idiots in America stand for anything. This same exact thing has happened in the past with people who did not "approve" of interracial marriages, and with people who didn't "approve" of women and African Americans voting in the country they live in so its no surprise that you and so many others are hateful bigots the way you are.

Illpoetic - November 9, 2004 05:59 PM (GMT)
and that law you voted for...it banned gay marriages AND civil unions, so you're speaking jibberish.

Shadow - November 9, 2004 06:17 PM (GMT)
Hateful, am I? A Bigot? Me? Well, well...I knew this was coming.

I thought I made it clear that I DON'T HATE GAY PEOPLE!!!!!! I agree with Civil Unions, not Gay Marriages. Now, I didn't know about the ban killing Civil Unions, but I guess I can chalk that up as "collateral damage." Had I known that it would kill Civil Unions, I wouldn't have voted on the issue.

I guess you can call me a "hateful bigot" if it helps you sleep at night. But, let me define "bigot" to you. I'll make it a full paragraph if you want me to.

A true "bigot" would hate Gays, PERIOD!! A true "bigot" would want to see Gays die and laugh at their pain. A true "bigot" wouldn't approve of Civil Unions. A true "bigot" would be a sadistically, ignorant person. That doesn't apply to me, but if it makes you feel better to classify me as such..... <_<

I can't be a "hateful bigot" if I have Gay friends. They know how I feel about their lifestyles, but they also know that I treat them like family. If anyone tries to talk shit or fight them, they gotta go thru me first. Now, my Gay friends knew how I was gonna vote. They did get mad at me, but we're all cool now.

I guess that would crush the "hateful bigot" theory, but knowing how people feel on here, it won't crush anything at all.

I mean, I can be called a "hateful bigot" or a "Homophobic asshole" or whatever you feel is the right classification for me, but I'm not gonna budge.

What would I look like saying one thing and then changing the opinion just to get approval? I would look completely fake, wouldn't I?

Don't get it twisted. I'm not mad that Ill called me a "hateful bigot". I welcome the insults. Keep them coming. Whoever wants to diss me, feel free to. This is a free country. I'll love you all just the same. Now, let me get off my soapbox and walk away from the podium.

HOLLA AT YA BOY!!!!

Illpoetic - November 9, 2004 06:26 PM (GMT)
I don't even believe that you have gay friends. I don't know any friends who would vote to have their friend's rights taken away by law. Unless you just have no idea what it is to be a friend.

and about you not knowing that the law was a ban on civil unions as well as gay marriage...maybe you should have READ it before voting to pass such a law.

you don't have to hate gays to be a bigot, I never said you hated gays, but you are definitely a bigot. Anyone who pushes for and especially votes to have another person who is not hurting anyone, to have their rights taken away is a bigot...and that is indeed what you are. It doesn't make me sleep better at night to tell you the truth about your ignorance, but I'm sure it makes you feel better to think it does.

Shadow - November 9, 2004 06:38 PM (GMT)
Well, I guess I'm a "bigot", then. I'm the BIGGEST BIGOT IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!! You know what, I got to get to the Bigotry Convention in North Carolina or somewhere. (Note: Sarcasm!)

And, just because I didn't vote for Gay Marriages, I don't have Gay Friends? Really.....is that what you think?

(Buzzer!) Wrong answer, but thanks for playing. I'm still cool with them. Friends can have different opinions on issues and still maintain the friendship if they work through their problems. I thought we learned that lesson years ago. If a disagreement is all it takes to destroy a friendship, it wasn't a friendship to begin with!!!!!!!

Feel me?

HOLLA AT YA BOY!!!!

Illpoetic - November 9, 2004 06:50 PM (GMT)
its not a matter of a difference of opinions. You voted to have your "friend's" rights taken away. That is not what a real friend would do.
