QUOTE hey man if we dont agree with the nominations should we add in a write in ballot or something or are we only going by the induviduals choices
what you do in that case is include the option "other" |

What I do is abstain and basically let that be my vote. I had the same problem as you last year and everyone here accept that an abstain vote is just that. I did that twice this year. Because if we let one add write in votes, people who spent their time thinking nominations get upset and also everyone wants to add on and what is the point of the nominations. It also gets quite chaotic.

why must we make simple things difficult.

I decided to allow the "other" option this year so I can prove to us that it doesn't work, especially because it undermines the nominations. Albeit, my apologies for including late in the nomination process. Award decisions are usually FINAL, no more no less. There were several categories where I strongly disagreed with the nominees but I still voted for something or someone(the next best option if you would). Besides, it's interesting to see that there's a distinct winner in every one of the highly-debated topics, that says a lot. I have played by the rules I created and I expected everyone else to follow suit.
