I was reading a site about GS that was quite old, and there are a quite a few difference, for example the names


Isaac- Robin/Robyn

Garet- Gerald

Mia- Mary

Jenna- Jasmine


(Ivan's name is the same)

Also I noticed that they used the term 'Energists' instead of 'Adepts', 'Energy' being the more direct translation instead of 'Psyenergy'. I wonder why they changed it?

Hmmm. Dunno. The site you were on was probably made before the game was translated. The site probably had a guy who could translate Japanese to English, and they used the direct and exact translations of stuff. That's most likely it.

Yeah. 'Energist' is cool though. Some of the Psyenergy name were different too. I think 'Reveal' was 'Imagine'.

but if Imagine was it then it wouldn't make sense, cuz revial is TRUE sight, not what u can just make up.

i once saw a picture from the japanese version that showed the part at the beginning where jenna is walking and sees isaac working on the house...only the pic showed mia instead! i also saw a picture of isaac using reveal to show a djinni at the area outside goma cave! i tried forever to find it until i realized that it was probably onlty there in the japanese one.
kinda wierd....

Most likely someone modified those pictures.

Picard is a MUCH cooler name then Piers. Picard to me means the punk I though up when I first saw him. Piers is his in-game personality.

Well, yeah, Picard is his directly translated Japanese name.

Well, a "pier" is a kind of long fishing/port dock. So, if you look at it that way, you get a water translation of the name. B)
