Well, after you do the normal town stuff (weapons, healing, items, etc.) Go to Eastern Alhafra and board the ship. You can't fix it all the way yet, so I wouldn't bother doing it at all, therefore go down below to find what you need to do. I like surprises in the storyline so I'm not gonna say. But do be warned that you'll have a battle. An easy one, but a battle none the less.

I lost that battle the first time. I didn't know I would have to fight, so I wasn't healed.

how do i fix the boat in eastern alhafra?

Don't bother with that yet. You can't fix it all the way till you get burst which you can find in Tundaria Tower Waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy to the south after you recieve the Parch psynergy from Aqua rock.

It's on the Apoji Islands which is almost right on Giaia Falls. If you don't know what Gaia Falls is (which you probably don't at this point) it's the giant waterfall at the ends of Weyard.

But first, go to the Apoji Islands village and cast Douse on the big blue stone there.
