Mods have basically the exact same powers on the forums as an admin does, but admins can access the site's control panel or Admin CP where they can set many different options for the site and make new categories and forums and add smilies and change the skina dn such things.

Well, that is true I guess. I have had much more experience with moderating and administrating forums, but I couldn't be a mod for the entire forum since I don't have near enough time to go through each and every post in the forum. If I was to be a mod, I'd have to be set to certain sections only. Of course, I'd want to be in General Discussion since then I could mod peppy.
