Title: Dynasty Warriors 4
Ancient Feud - September 9, 2005 08:19 PM (GMT)
Dynasty Warriors 4 is a great game. I love playing as Pang Tong. He has the coolest moves, and the best battlecries. He runs around and screams like an old man, but he talks like he's about 30. I love all of his crazy flips and attacks. Also Cao Cao is pretty fun. One of the main things in the game I like is the ability to make your own character. I gave my guy a greatsword, and he just runs around and bashes through people, it's great! And the best part is, I named him Ping Pong!Heh heh, yeah... :sweatdrop:

...That sounds awesome. What's it for, PS2?

Dynasty Warriors 5 is great. ^_^ It has more characters, and overall, I believe is more fun. Though I *adore* DW4. DW5 Xtreme Legends puts the character creation mode back in. (It wasn't in the original DW5) And the charrie you create has their own story, starting as a footsoldier and working their way up. Alot of the stuff isn't up yet, but you *can* go and read about Legend Mode and whatnot.

Dynasty Warriors 4 is for the GBA, if i'm not mistaken.
There's a bit of info on it in the news section down at Nintendo of Australia's news page.

Well, I've played it on PS2. The graphics are astounding. I love all the different musou combinations, especially when you play two-player co-op, and you both do your most powerful musou at the same time. I think it's called Double Musou or something...

No, there's a DW Advanced now, but it's not DW4. DW4 is PS2 and X-Box.
DW5 still has double Musou... and you can do it with your bodyguard if you're not in 2P mode. And then there's Musou Rage tokens in 5.. combine two people using Musou Rage in a double Musou attack... and yeah... ^_^ Lots of fun and death all around.

Ah yes, the bodyguards. My friend and I eventually found out that you can have up to eight bodyguards at once in DW4, so we were running around with small armies. It was the best! Too bad they all got creamed when Lu Bu rode out... Man, he has got to be the most annoying boss ever. And of course he rides out on the fastest horse, Red Hair. I remember in one of the levels my friend and I decided to just run right by Lu Bu. He wasn't the boss in that level, but he was an officer. I made a plan so that I got on a horse, my friend was on foot. Lu Bu comes out, I ride by and knock him off Red Hair, then my friend takes Red Hair and we both run like the wind. So we went through the plan and what happened? I got skewered. After that we just tried sneaking past him by sticking along the edges of the field. Luckily we got by, but later on Lu Bu appeared out of no where and started chasing us. I don't like him...

I love Lu Bu. But I'm more of a Wu fan, myself. Still, I'm sure you know that the games are based on actual events and whatnot. Have you done any reading into the books or history?

Not really, but I do know they're based on actual events. One character (I can't remember his name XP ) we learned about in my Global Studies class. Anyways, I myself like Shu the best. Some really cool characters, a lot of them with spears and pikes.

From your descriptions, I'd say that this DW4 and 5 sound really cool. I could use a 2 player game too. I'll have to check into it.
