I not sure what u are talking about with the fog. But to get the trident together you have to:

0.Go to daila village and get the sea's god tear.
1.go to shrine of the sea god and get the right prong.
2.Go to apojii use douse on the aqua stone the go to aqua rock and get the parch psynergy.
3.Go down to the frozen plzce at the bottem of the map and go to the tundaria tower to get burst and the center prong.
Then go to izumo,an island north east of the fog, Go to gaia rock next to isumo and beat the dragon there to learn sand.
4. Go into the ankohl ruins and get the left prong.
5.Go to alhafra docks and use bust on the big stone and fix the ship. Then briggs comes and steals it.
6. follow him to champa south from ankohl ruins go to the cave thing at the top and fight briggs monster and his mum will put the trident pieces together

I don't think you can.

You can only go to Vale and such in GS1. As for the icebergs, you'll need a magma ball and a cannon.

The Things You Need-------------Location

Magma Ball-----------------------Magma Rock. Located western Gondowan.

Cannon----------------------------Loho. Dwarven Town located very western Angara.

Well, actually, oyu can go to Vale. Once you have Hover, land on the small bech just south of Loho, then face down and press A to get off the ship on to a tiny little strip of land between the sea and a mountain. Wander around a little bit, and you'll realize you're in the GS land. All the towns are gone though except for Venus Lighthouse, Babi Lighthouse, and Lalivero, which you can't reach because of Idejima brakeing off. Vale's still there though, but it's just a picture now and nothing happens when you walk through it. Still kinda fun though...

Not sure why no one explained the fog. If you mean when you're on the boat, it's because you've entered Lemurian seaspace. There is only one way to get in, you have to enter from the bottom. Then you have to navigate through a bunch of volcanoes, tides and whirlpools. (I think you have to circle the volcanoes 3 or 4 times to turn off the tide for a few seconds, you gotta be fast)

BUT. Don't do ANY of that unless you're ready to get beat down by Poseidon. I'd advise having the Trident before then, too.

...of course, if you're already worrying about Prox, you prolly don't need this info anymore...
