Title: Deathnote

Has anyone read [or even heard of] a manga called Deathnote? Scanlations of it are avaliable at
Deathnote.org if you haven't. [In which case, go read it now! It's awesome!]
And if you have read/heard of it, what do you think of it so far?

I haven't heard of it. From the images it seems to be well drawn at least.
What's the plot about? :?:

Well... it starts off in a world of death gods. One death god, Ryuuku, is really bored, so he drops something called a Death Note into the human world to see what will happen. The Death Note is then found and picked up by a boy called Raito Yagami [I've seen some people translate his name as 'Light', though.].
Raito finds some writing inside the cover of the Death Note, which he translates. It turns out to be instructions for using the Death Note- basically, if you write someone's name in the Death Note while holding their face in your mind, that person will die. [It's also possible to manipulate the person's cause of death and dying actions, but that comes later.]
Raito is sceptical about this at first, thinking it's a practical joke. Later on he sees a report on the news about a criminal holding some people hostage, and decides to try it out on the criminal, who dies.
Raito then decides that he should use the Death Note to kill off all the criminals in the world, thus making the world a better place. [I've simplified this, but you get the idea.]
A bit later on, the death god Ryuuku turns up at Raito's house and basically hangs around Raito to see what he does.
Meanwhile, all the deaths of the criminals have been noticed by Interpol, who want to know what's going on. A mysterious figure who calls himself L contacts them and says that he's working on this, and that he wants there full support, and it kind of all goes from there.
That's basically a summary of the first two [I think] chapters. The actual manga is a lot more interesting [and very well written]. I'm only on chapter eleven so far, but it's really really good. I think you might enjoy this.

I started buying the manga a while ago, and it's actually pretty good, despite it not being that long. (As far as I know)
