Title: Need Tips
Description: Wanna beat the game
ZaberTheAlmighty - March 22, 2005 02:53 AM (GMT)
I made it to Chap 31 or something, but by that time I had only my main characters left.
I'm starting a new game, I suck out loud, I want some tips from some pros so I can add FE to my list of games I've beaten. It's like the only game I own and haven't beaten...

If you want to make it to the end of the game with plenty of characters, then restart the chapter you were in whenever you lose characters in it. That way you can try another strategy that could yield little to no casualties.
ZaberTheAlmighty - March 22, 2005 05:11 AM (GMT)
That's no help, I tried that. I'm talking actualy strategies and things like that. I mega suck at it.
SuicuneSol - March 22, 2005 05:44 AM (GMT)
Is that so? *Feel proud* I am a veteran tactician! Talk to me!
I name you Sir Zaber The Almighty!
First, my young apprentice, when your battalion is engaged upon the battlefield, do you mentally draw up a plan? I assume in chapters one to 10, you have no need of help. But onward, I assume you need help? Call me Suicune. Count Suicune.
First, let's move to an example. Here we are on a battle field. Level 1 Lord Eliwood, Level 1 Archer Rebecca, Level 2 Cavalier Lowen, and Level 1 Paladin Marcus are at your command. The battlefield is a straight plain; no obstacles. You are facing 4 Level 2 Brigands. And one Level 4 Brigand, who is the leading enemy commander. Both sides stand opposite of one another. Your side stands in a straight line parallel to the enemies. Both lines are 10 squares from each other.
What is your first action?
ZaberTheAlmighty - March 22, 2005 06:09 PM (GMT)
Well Count Suicune, I usually form defensive barriers around my main character so I don't have to restart the level.

Not a good choice, you should have characters attack a specific enemy so that it's weakened enough, for someone you want to level up, to kill. You should also concentrate on getting a specific specialty team to combat the powerful enemies at the end. *spoiler* At the end of the game you'll fight a fire dragon, 120 HP, best strategy is to use Athos (with an increased speed due to speedwings) to wait infront of the dragon and let it attack. make Athos use an elixir to heal him fully, and then repeat the last step. that being that it'll attack, you'll attack, end of enemy phase, you use elixir, ends phase, dragon attacks, you attack, etc.
If you do not have enough elixirs place your most powerful lords infront of the dragon and wait, almost like Athos. Except equip them all with legendary weapons. Have your Lords at level 20 when they change classes and raise 'em to 20 again. And call me Swordmaster~Guy~ MWHAHAHAHAH!
ZaberTheAlmighty - March 26, 2005 03:10 AM (GMT)
Didn't...understand..most of that...
Swordmaster - March 26, 2005 04:26 AM (GMT)
bah, which chapter do you need help on then?
SuicuneSol - March 27, 2005 04:30 AM (GMT)
My son, here is an important tip: Your lords have more potential than you think.
Swordmaster - March 27, 2005 04:38 AM (GMT)
except for Eliwood but train him a lot too.
SuicuneSol - March 28, 2005 09:30 PM (GMT)
Eliwood has good potential too. Not in the beginning, but in the end he's indispensible. Aside from Lyn and Hector. Athos is useless. '-_-

Depends, Nino is t3h b35t!

its true, the lords are much better than they seem a t first. My first time through the game, I kept them out of combat because if they died I had to restart, and they were at like level 3 or 4 around chapter 25. it completely sucked. this time around, they were my main killers, and I've done so much better. And, this time I DIDN'T USE MARCUS because hes an experience woman-of-loose-ethics if you know what I mean.

Train Nino, if you get her at perfect levels, 20 mage then 20 sage, she's a tank.

i have a question on the final level what was the stratgey to beat the ddragon again and reply back to me asap at the_fire_emblem@hotmail.com with the startgey

You have to have the fortify staff you acquired from the previous chapter. Rush the dragon with all of your characters holding legendary weapons and magic, then have Athos use the fortify staff. Anyway, that's my only advice. That dragon is easy if you have all of your characters at Lv 20 (which is easy to do at the arenas).

ugh i gave up on fire emblem a long time ago because im stuck on a lvl thats very hard :C
eliwoodmaster - July 11, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
thanks. i am going to have to start all over my lords are only at level 10 in the bladelord great lord and knight lord stage. o well all the other levels are easy
Swordmaster - July 14, 2005 10:35 PM (GMT)
another way if everyone isn't at level 20 use Athos and have him with a few elixirs, make him wait right infront of the dragon then let the dragon attack and you'll counter attack, then heal him with an elixir, he should have 3 HP everytime he gets hit. and the dragon has 120 hp
