A great series. It's shaping up to be a classic and I'd like to get some other opinions as well. B)

However, if you've never heard of Bleach now's the opportunity to ask. ^_^

What is it? I've heard that it's great and that there's a character named Ichigo in it, but that's it.

Well, I've got all episodes so far on my computer already. thing is, I still have to watch Green-Green (well, im not sure if im going to watch that actually), and I have to watch Mai HiME.... yeah, I've got alot to do...

I have only this to say:

All I want to do is spread the Bleachyness. All heil the Bleachy-Goodness. As for those who dont know what its about, you could always check the link that doesnt have any downloads on for some info, or I could just tell you. Only Im not really very sure how to do it without spoilers... So... I'll just make it quick. Ish.

BLEACH
Bleach is about a teenage boy called Ichigo. From the begining, he was never a normal kid, as he has the ability to see ghosts. In the first episode, he witnesses a ghost being attacked. Ichigo is a nice boy who wouldnt stand around and watch another get hurt, so he tries to help the ghost, only to find a mysterious woman dressed in black defeat the monster that was after the ghost. It appears that only he can see the ghost, the monster and the woman. He tries to calll out to the woman, but is only ignored.
Later, when Ichigo is at home in bed, the woman appears out of no where in his room. He tries to call out to her, but alas, once again is ignored. So then he kicks the woman in the face(?!). In shock, she asks if he can see her. Just as she asks, a monster resembling yesterdays one appears from a big portal-type-thing. The woman quickly drew her sword from its hilt and cut off the monters arm, making it retreat back into the portal. Then Ichigo starts madly questioning whats going on. We then find out that the woman is actully a Shinigami (Death God in English) that kills monsters like the one that just appeared and sends ghosts on the the after-life world. These monsters are called Hollows. Hollows are ghosts that have gone bad for some reason; because they were lonely, had troubles in life, that sort of thing. She then tells us that shes not of this dimension, but is from a place called Soul Society, a place were ghosts that have passed on go, and a place where the Shinigami live.
Ichigo thinks this is all rubish. In his rage and confusion, he starts insulting the Shinigami, annoying her much. He annoyed her so much that she put a sealing spell on his arms to restrict him from moving. Just as she does that, the Hollow that she hurt re-apears, and goes to attack Ichigo's sisters. The Shinigami goes after it to save his sisters, leaving Ichigo behind. But Ichigo couldnt just sit there whilest his sisters were being attacked. He ran to where his sisters were being attacked but there was nothing he could do. With his arms like that anyway. So, he tried plainly with his own strength to break the seal. The Shinigami screamed at him not too, as it will break the soul of any normal human... But Ichigo is no normal human. After a struggle, he broke the seal, impressing the Shinigami alot. Ichigo then began attacking the Hollow, making it stop tormenting his sisters and focus on him. The problem? Ichigo isnt strogn enough for this. So, the Hollow hits him VERY hard, making him fly back. It then shot its self at him, with its mouth wide open, ready to devour Ichigo.... And Ichigo couldnt do anything about it! He was a gonner. But then, suddenly, the Shinigami leaped infront of the upcoming attack, and recieved the blow of the Hollow! But she managed to hurt him in the process, making the Hollow stop for a few minutes. Just enough time for Ichigo and the Shinigami to talk. The Shinigami then tells us her name is Kuchiki Rukia. Rukia then tells Ichigo that the only way for them both to live through this affair, would be for her to lend her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. Their conversation was cut short, as the Hollow dashed at them...
Only to find Ichigo as a Shinigami ^_^!!! Soon after, Ichigo has no problem killing off the Hollow.
We then find out that Rukia had only planned to give away 1/2 of her powers to Ichigo, but he took them all, meaning that Rukia couldnt return to Soul Society any time soon.
Next day, we find that Ichigo's family have no recolection of the night before...
That is pretty much the majority of the first ep. I told you that so you'd understand this next bit. From then on, Rukia and Ichigo would go together getting rid of Hollows with Ichigo's borrowed powers and Rukia's knowledge of the spirit world. They do this for a while, untill some trouble with Rukia and Soul Society comes about, making that part of the story a rescue mission.

Yeah! Bleach broke the 52 episode barrier! Exciting times. Especially with the new intro and credits songs. I can't wait until I can get my hands on the full-length versions. But TV size still sounds great! B)

I have yet to see 52. It seems like you have? Where do you get yours from? (I wait for AnimeSuki to have it up) I'd like to get my hands on it...... *drool*

Well, I watch the raws (unsubtitled versions). I understand the Japanese because I read the manga before watching the episode. Raws come out the day the anime is released or at least a few days before the fansubs. I received the double episode 52-53 from a friend this time, though.

This Bleach certainly sounds interesting, I'll look into it. I've been hearing about it for a while, but never thought much about it.

I just finished episode 12, and it's simply amazing. I'm suprised I never took the time to watch this before. XP

Bleach is like the best anime in the world! It's by far the best action anime I've ever seen! Actually, it's the best anime I've ever seen, in my opinion atleast. I have downloaded and watched the entire series. At Canti's house I watched my first episode and since then, well I've basically become addicted. I watched the first dozen episodes every day when Bleach was new. I still watch them often though I'm at episode 61 now. Can't wait until episode 62 comes out. Must see.*eye twitches*

Bleach is currently so very very good. Certainly one of the best things I'm watching at the moment, they just keep on changing the rules and bringing in twists. I :heart: it so very much. I also just listened to the full version of Ichirin no Hana, which is fairly cool. High and Mighty Color are ever so good.

I agree, Ichirin no Hana ismost definitely my favorite opening, it's just such an awsome song.
Bleach is currently my favorite series and as long as they don't drag it on it will stay that way.... I :heart: BLEACH :happy:

I haven't watched 62 yet. Is it a good episode? Well, I suppose it is :biglaugh: Keeping up its high standard?

There's so many characters I like, listing them all would take so long :biglaugh: I like (in no paticular order) Ishida, Ichigo, Kisuke, Yachiru, Gin, Byakuya, Yoruichi, Renji, Shunsui, Nanao... Those are just the ones I remember, there's probably plenty more :happy:

Yeah, there is alot of characters like that. But without characters to dislike, I don't suppose there would be much of a show. Byakuya can be like that, but I still like him. Kinda.

Have you played any of the games?

I don't care if Byakuya is like that, it's when they're under lutenant level that they annoy me, they're so incredibly weak and yet they think they can win :dry:
I suppose, as you said, the anime needs them though.

I haven't played any of the games :bigsad: I want them. Especially Bleach: Souten ni Kakeru Unmei for the DS, but it's not even out in Japan yet and will probably never come to the US. I could buy the Japanese version, but games are so much more fun when you can read the words.

Ah yes :biglaugh: very good point. So many think they're strong but aren't. The big headedness annoys me too.

No, me neither :bigsleep: Well, perhaps one day it'll be licensed, then you'll get to play the games. On the downside, licensing is quite annoying :tongue: There's more chance of the games being brought out in the US than there is here in the UK *shrugs* That's one good thing at least. And isn't there a Bleach game for the PS2 or PSP in America? I thought I saw one somewhere. Probably didn't, though...

I'm looking forward now to Episode 63-64 on January 10th. Yay! I'll be back in college by then. B)

Anyway, Zaraki Kenpachi is my FAVORITE character from Bleach. I like him so much that I was actually thinking of getting a tatoo of the number 11 in Japanese on my shoulder. But I didn't. :P Anyway, the cutie Yachiru is my second favorite character. B)

Ah yes! I'd forgotten them two. They're both great together.

What's the manga like?

The manga is awesome. There is a great place where you can get just about all of teh manga scans. it is here at www.bleachportal.net right now they have no servers :sad: and if you want them you will have to dl them through irc. They are expected to go back up soon and then you can direct dl the epps in rm format which takes bout 10 mins to dl 1 epp :gsgrin: this is probably the best site you can get Bleach stuff :heart:

I have seen the manga and the episodes and can say that the episodes are way better. You can easily download the episodes with bittorrent. It only takes about 20 minutes if the episode just came out that day, sometimes less. Speaking of the episodes, the last two were very... bad. I hope that this series doesn't go downhill. What's up with all of the recent members having names from Bleach, anyone know what's going on? I've been gone too long.

Can you see the similarities between the new antagonists and the characters from Alice in Wonderland? The small girl looks like Alice and the guy with the top-hat looks like the Mad-Hatter. I haven't figured out who the other guy is yet.

the other guy big lil dude was talking about could possibly be one of the cards that the queen controlled or it could possibly be the white rabbit who was very mysterious but then again he could also be the chessire cat because he just kept popping in and out of the scene.
