Title: Who's your favorite character in Fire Emblem?
Description: In Rekka no Ken.
SuicuneSol - February 25, 2005 11:40 PM (GMT)
Lucius and Canas are my favorite character. Nino too.
Aquila - February 25, 2005 11:50 PM (GMT)
Legault is my favorite. I like his sense of humor.
Marlin ßeta - February 26, 2005 03:40 AM (GMT)
I like Lyn and Hector. Obviously because they're lords but for other reasons as well. They have an odd relationship to say the least. I also love Lyn's two criticals (normal sword and Sol Katti). It's all good. B)
Swordmaster - February 26, 2005 04:11 AM (GMT)
GUY!!!!!!!!! GUY ROCKS!!!!!!! he is the best swordmaster!
windseer1986 - February 26, 2005 04:12 AM (GMT)
My least favorite character is Marcus. He made me think he was good, then he hogged all the experience and my guys couldn't survive, so I had to start all over after doing up to chapter after you kill that lady(forgot her name) in the dungeon with dissappearing walkways :(
I like Jaffar, the part when he fights all of those guys by himself in the dark hallway is cool. Also there was one character I think his class was hero, he was pretty cool. I forgot a lot of the names:(
Aquila - February 26, 2005 04:53 AM (GMT)
Do you like Guy because of his personality or because he is good or both, Sword?
If you think Jaffar is good, Windseer, you should see Legault or Matthew in action as Assassins.
BTW, I think you are talking about Harken as that guy who you believe to be in the Hero class.
windseer1986 - February 26, 2005 06:18 AM (GMT)
I think it is harken. He has like a tower shield I think and his attack looks cool. I like jaffar not because of his power, but because hes a cool character, and I just like that part at the beginning of the "protect the prince" chapter, how he wastes all those guys by himself :}
Marlin ßeta - February 26, 2005 06:50 AM (GMT)
Yeah. Guy is pretty good. I think only Lyn can match him for strength and criticals, though. ;)

I've gotten her and Guy both close to a 70% ratio for criticals while holding a Killing Edge. XD
Aquila - February 26, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
Guy is supposed to have a higher critical hit rate than Lyn since he gets a critical bonus.

I think that's only if you build up his relationship with Matthew. Otherwise, Lyn and Guy have fairly even stats for criticals (at least, that's what I've observed). B)
Aquila - February 26, 2005 04:37 PM (GMT)
If Lyn and Guy both cap their skill, then Guy should have the higher rate critical because he gets a critical bonus and Lyn does not. Lyn makes up for that with the ability to use a bow though. She is an awesome bow user.

OOOO Lyn on a wyvern with the Sol Katti! I answered that before ^_^ and best way to get Guy to his max crit is to
1) max out his stats
2) get his supports close to him
3) give him the Wo Dao
Mathias - March 14, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)

Mathias - May 5, 2005 06:21 PM (GMT)
man, picking a favorite character is hard, so ill just list a few
guy, lyndis, hawkeye, harken, pent
there thats go enough, and besides lyndis, those are some the best characters in the game anyways(but lyndis is cool too) ^_^ u_u
windseer1986 - May 6, 2005 03:11 PM (GMT)
Lyndis is a very good character, especially when she promotes and gets to use bows. And she has insanely high evasion.
Mathias - May 6, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
youre right, nut her attack is so weak that even though she attacks twice she often doesnt score a kill, especially on the stronger enemies, and her hp and defense sucks to the extreme
*dodge,dodge,dodge,dodge,hit.......dead*
"no....there's still so much.........oh Mathias"
GAME OVER
*Mathias throws his controller and cusses*
"STUPID GAY BOLTING GOD I HATE THIS GAME!!!"
*resets gamecube and restarts chapter.....*
and windseer, i appreciate your active comments to my posts, kepp it up and one day you can be as cool as the_issaac!!! 1
(and maybe even me B) o_o? )
windseer1986 - May 6, 2005 11:03 PM (GMT)
Yeah Ima tryin to keep as active as I can.
Lyn may have weak attacks, but she scores a good amount of criticals. If you are talking about bolting from that lady in "battle before dawn" or whatever its called, its usually better to stay away from that area so she doesn't come up and start attacking...ohhh how I loathe that chapter*shakes fist in air*
Swordmaster - May 7, 2005 03:35 AM (GMT)
that chapter is easy, and you mean Sonia. You have to have people with good resistance of dodge so it won't do that much or just miss altogether.
Mathias - May 7, 2005 09:51 PM (GMT)
yeah but it just made me SO mad that i was working through that chapter, i got to jaffar before he died, which is hard, and i trapped that stupid theif in a room so that Matthew (thats my name, and i forgot to mention that Matthew is one of my favorite characters too) could steal the stuff back, and i was like "yes, i finaaly have this mission under control, then just all the sudden Lyndis gets hit with bolting and a random weak enemy walked up and finished her off SO MUCH FOR HIGH EVASION!!! and shes a BLADE LORD too!!!!
(i should have just made hector a great lord) XP
Swordmaster - May 8, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
what was the hit % and all I have to say is that your units are poorly trained.
windseer1986 - May 8, 2005 01:51 AM (GMT)
Easy?I thought that was the worst chapter in the whole game, with maybe the exception of light just because of the stupid dragon. I thought sonia was the boss from the chapter after this one, ursula is the one with bolting that hides at the bottom of this chapter.
And its not a good idea to send a low defense unit out into an area if you either can't see the enemies there, or if you can see that there are stron enemies. have a high hp unit in front, like hawkeye maybe, and keep a healer nearby, but make sure they are protected. Its always a good idea to keep units close to each other, and make sure none of the weak ones are especially vulnerable.
Aquila - May 8, 2005 02:01 PM (GMT)
You should see how hard that chapter is in Hector Hard Mode. Ursula will actually move toward Zephiel the last few rounds. I lucked out big time in one game. Ursula hit Zephiel with bolting, leaving him with two HP, but Zephiel was so slow that she got to attack him again. Fortunately, Zephiel dodged the second bolting . I then rescued Zephiel with Oswin who was in the throne with him. Oswin managed to withstand Ursula's boltings. Since that was the last round, I made it through the chapter alive. When the lights came on at the end of the chapter and the darkness/fog went away, I could see that Ursula was right below the throne room, meaning that there had been one more turn left, she would have wiped out Oswin (one of my best units) with Elfire.
So if you think that chapter is hard in Eliwood Normal, Eliwood Hard, or Hector 0Normal, then you have not seen how really hard that chapter can get till you try it out in Hector Hard Mode.
windseer1986 - May 8, 2005 11:41 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I figured it would suck even more in hard mode. This game gets so frutrating sometimes, and I just know if I try to do hard mode I'm going to end up throwing this game across the room and breaking it. So I stick to normal '-_-
Swordmaster - May 8, 2005 11:51 PM (GMT)
a good way to prevent Ursula from killing Zephiel or anyone else is to send a unit with high speed and resistance so she'd waste them on the unit which can withstand them and it's good to send thieves just where current light ends so that you have units nearby that can take out whatever is there in cas if there is anything there.
Aquila - May 9, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)
In one of my Hector Hard Mode games, I used the Rescue Staff to get Zephiel from the throne room. Then I rescued him and put him as far away from Ursula as possible. It worked quite well.
Swordmaster - May 9, 2005 04:16 AM (GMT)
that too works however you have to be careful of boltings distance, 3-10
