Alrite... we can use this to talk about the event.
Anything has anything to say? How about those 30-sec reinsertion games? I know I had to take a break after the second one... total killers.

All I have to say is that I wish I could have been there.

I went to the last one and had a great time. I was planning to be there this time as well, but I had to meet with the guy drawing the plans for the house my wife and I are going to build soon.

From posts in the other thread, it sounds like it was a great day again. I am looking forward to seeing pics and video, and hearing the stories.

Anyway, sorry I missed it (except for the heat), and I hope there is another one soon.

You an Architect? (I am...)

On topic-

The 30 second games were interesting, but needed a bigger field... and better balanced teams... one side rolled the other both times I played it...

It was the first FL pump day I've been able to attend, had a great time, I'm not sure I'll make many more this summer though, as it was already at the threshold of too hot to play.

I'd like to know who from FL is planning on going to Pump Pandemonium though, flying up and splitting a rental car would be awesome...

Nice to meet a lot of you too!

It was an AMAZING day of paintball. I've never played with a more generous, honest, and welcoming bunch of guys. Let's start from the top... DJ and Billy were kind enough to let me crash at their place Friday night and ride down with them Saturday morning. These folks are a PAINTBALL FAMILY and they're great people! Thanks so much for everything you did for me this weekend. You guys rock.

We showed up Saturday morning, and even though I had never met any of the guys I felt like I was automatically among friends. I'm not sure if it was the fact that I talk to y'all several times a week on the Internet, or the simple comradery that goes along with pump play. I would like to think that its a little bit of both. Anyway, the most difficult part of introducing myself around was trying to figure out what to call people... SCP Screen Name or Real Name? In the end, most of us used screen names just cause it was easier to remember (though mine works both ways)

I loved seeing everyone's markers up close and personal. Snipers and Phantoms seemed to rule the day, with a few odballs on the field shooting other stuff (Bushmaster, Sheridan, Carter, Karnivore, etc...). I was happy to pass around the KP2 for anyone to testfire, and a few took me up on that offer. I was lucky enough to handle a few other markers myself. Saturday was my first time ever playing with a Phantom, and now I want one EVEN MORE (thanks Davinci).

The 30-second insertion games were INTENSE. Unfortunately, I was on the losing side both times. Woodsball was fun, but not my favorite. I enjoyed the speedball and the "Urban" fields most of all. The heat certainly took something away from the games though. It was so bad that we were playing 2 short games and then taking 10-20 minute breaks just to cool down. The weather was great (mostly clear skies and no rain) but just too hot to play at my best.

The Pump Chumps and SCP sponsored several give-aways at this event. That was excellent as well. As I mentioned in the Events forum, Billy won the gun this time (a PGP2K modified by Jasper and Fireblade) and then GAVE it to me. He said he already had a PGP and probably wouldn't use this one very much. Knowing that Im a Sheridan fanatic and wanting to show his appreciation for me making the long drive down to FL, he just handed me the pistol and said to enjoy it. Believe me Billy... I WILL!!! :D Thank you so much! And of course, thanks to Jasper and Maverick and anyone else who had a hand in the give-aways at this event.

The drive back was HELL for me. 2.5 hours to Jacksonville and another 5 hours to Dothan. It was worth every mile though, for the chance to spend a day with the Pump Chumps. And just too keep myself entertained during the long drive back... I made a little documentary video. I call it "Driving Dementia with Dave". Maybe I'll post it with my others when I'm finished editing. Speaking of video... thanks to Fred and Rabbit for helping me with the video camera. Between the 3 of us, we got some pretty good footage. I'll post the clips as soon as I'm done editing them. I'm already getting some pics from Lee to use in the video, but if anyone else has any pics, please send them my way.

Thanks again guys, for an awesome day of paintball. I'll be back as often as possible, and hope to get a few of you up here sometime soon as well.

Here are some pictures I was able to pull from the video. They're a little blurry and kinda small, but don't worry... the video is going to turn out quite clear and should display slightly larger than the frame for these pics. And Matt, I'll have some pictures of the PGP up as soon as I can borrow my roomy's digital camera again. Here ya go fellas...

OSOK & SoupMaster during 30-second Insertion Speedball
(Posted Image)

Silk during his Head-2-Head w/ Billy, using the Carter "Box Guns"
(Posted Image)

Me shooting the KP2 at the chrono station (and wearing an old JT Whippersnapper mask)
(Posted Image)

OSOK shooting the KP2 (not wearing a mask, but dont worry... we were being very safe)
(Posted Image)

If I'm not mistaken, this was Lee snapshooting at Soupmaster during a game on the Urban field
(Posted Image)

Fireblade (on the right) showing his Pump Karnivore off to one of the local tourney guys. The kid was trying to be cool about it, but I swear he was about to cry!
(Posted Image)

Maverick (left) and Jasper (right) during the mid-day Give-Away
(Posted Image)

Davinci w/ his Half-Block Sniper on the woodsball field
(Posted Image)

Maverick again... admiring Jay's handywork on the Karnivore
(Posted Image)

ps... The videos are DONE! I'll try to post them tomorrow after work.

Yea, that was on the wooded city field. Right after that pic was taken I was out. This was all within the first 15 seconds of the game. :(

Looks like you guys had a great time,

we had a little "all pump" memorial day shoot-out this weekend out here in nashville, only like 4 of us, but that is the most pumps i've ever played with, and it was great fun, hope to post pics soon.
