Title: To all The DEfenders of Castle Conquest XVI

CanadianChris - September 29, 2003 04:01 PM (GMT)
:) To all the Pumps defenders at castle I made the statement for you to put up or shut up......
Well in my eyes and I think a majority of the semi players.
YOU DEFINITELY PUT UP!!!!!!!!

While the debate of who's better will go on for many years to come...

At least we showed that after all was said and done.

Both sides were able to hold there heads hi, and be proud to call themselves paintball players.

Again Blue and Staff Great Job!!!!

Gunslingers you are always awesome!!!

Defenders You can play beside me anytime.

Canadian Chris

Chris, thanx to you and all of the attackers for giving us a fight worth showing up for! I personally hope to be playing alongside you instead of against you next time. Anytime you see the SCP tent set up at an event, make sure that you and the crew stop by. That was pretty cheap - registering as defender and attacking instead....damn Canadiens...so busy thinking about beer and hockey, they can't remember what side they're supposed to be on! :P

LOL

Your right I was going to defend. But when I started the taunting to get more interest in the game. I took the semi side to help promote the game.

I emailed Blue right away and told him that I would have to attack. Some where in the translation it got screwed up....

I felt for you guys.

I also felt for myself ( I would have had an all pump fireing squad if I tried to defend)

Haveing said that It was a great time and I have mentioned to both Blue and Jim that I think there should be a section in the musiem dedicated to this game with some of the props (like the No pumps Flag I was carrying around the field)

If you feel this way talk it up to jim and Lady Marshal and see what can be done!

Like I said I think you Guys And Girls did one hell of a job....
And I also believe that yes you did bring alot of interest back to the pump side of paintball which is always a good thing.

Canadian Chris

amhildreth - September 29, 2003 04:43 PM (GMT)
I'll talk to Jim and Missy about getting the props in the museum. If you ever make it towards the Rochester, NY area, hit me up on the boards and we'll go roll a few fields together. The Castle was messy, but a pleasure.

If you were in the second game as a defender, then you played alongside some of the pumpers from the first game. I played defense in the second game so I could watch Pub Crawling and see what they did and how they played. Figured I could learn some things and I did. :)

Good job on the attack by the way. It was awesome to behold in all its terrible splendor. :o B)

Nobody's said anything about it, so I'll ask... Did the tubes get there in time?

Yep. Helped myself to a couple actually. :D

Quickling - September 29, 2003 07:06 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure if they got there.. the tube thing was kinda disorganised, and we just pretty much used our own tubes... But someone should know more then me.

CanadianChris - September 29, 2003 07:26 PM (GMT)
Tyger I don't know if they were your tubes or not but I know there were a ton of 10 round loader tubes given out with an SCP sticker in them, Great Idea guys will make a great souvenir for people who attended.

worrptangl - September 29, 2003 08:03 PM (GMT)
They were there but handed out later on sunday after the marshals got into it. I got some and the rest i think are gonna be used to put stickers in an tossed out at the stock event in Conn. next month. Hey thanks tyger. I was really looking forward to meeting u.

Thanks Chris u guys did very well to. Looking forward to playing on the same side next time.

Pyrate Jim - September 29, 2003 11:28 PM (GMT)
Yes, the tubes got there. Five of us poured three cases of donated paint into them about 11:00 Friday night.
(A sockholder taped to the bottom of a revvy works amazingly well!)

Saturdays Game was so intense, and the pump players had bought so much paint on Friday that Blue was in danger of running out and had to dip into a different batch of paint.
Which is why they announced at the start of the game that there were two different blue paints out there.
We laughed about it Friday night. We could hear the mornings cry: "The Pumpers bought all the paint!" "Whaddya mean, Paint Rations??"

And CanChris--I think I have a picture of that flag near the end of the first game. After they're developed I'll let ya know.

ladymarshal - October 1, 2003 01:13 AM (GMT)

thats what was LEFT of tigers tubes!!

please Jimmy tubed up PAINT in them and gave them out to players and told everyone near him that it was UP for grabs!

We tubed up a lot of paint together Friday night. The first two cases I bought, and more, went into those tubes.(but Jim paid me back-I had to buy more for myself)

How much was left over?

Tuff - October 1, 2003 02:52 AM (GMT)
Save me the left over tubes. I could really use a dozen or so to fill out my swifty new stock belt. B)

10-shot kid - October 1, 2003 03:30 AM (GMT)
SO I guess I'm not getting my 50 tubes back :(

Eh I'll hopefully have the cash before I go play again. I need to work on that crosman I bought though, piece of sh*t. That was by far the most intense game I've been in so far. I know some people, mainly on the attackers, wher eboard cause it was "quick". I think if you glance off the main group and find your own fight you get in big ones. You guys where spearheading that attack too if I remember. A lot of close quarters fighting and you canadians showed some brass.

Hans - October 1, 2003 02:59 PM (GMT)
10shot......I told you man, I will make sure you get them back! A Promise is a Promise. E-mail me a shipping address and 50 tubes are on the way tomorrow.

-Hans

10-shot kid - October 1, 2003 03:15 PM (GMT)
That's what that kid said before he took my squegiee too :)

Honeslty I just thought you all had forgotten or someone who didn't know about our deal had given them away without knowing. Thanks though man, E-mail on the way.

Maverick - October 2, 2003 01:14 AM (GMT)
err, right.. just to be clear, the tubes that went out to the crowd were brought by SCP, strictly for that purpose..infact, a box of "blank" tubes i had went missing in the mail before hand, maybe theyll show up eventually.. anywho, Jim and Missy definately got Tygers tubes, and they were passed out, filled for the event ect.. the tubes Lady Marshal is using to house the scp stickers were leftovers i believe (and thanks Marshals, that is greatly appreciated) so in conclusion, no one got ripped on tubes, all the tubes that were donated were used, and then some.. and were all good there.. and those who didnt get theirs back and should have, are being "retubed" and will recieve them shortly..now, to go order more tubes, stickers , and "stuff" .. were out of everything.. :D

Mako1972 - October 4, 2003 05:34 PM (GMT)
I just wanted to post a thank you to ALL players and sponsors at CC16. I defended both games and have the battle scars to prove it..lol. What a rush! I look forward to playing again. Blue and Crew did an exception job as always...the refs have my admiration..I think they were tagged more than most of us players were..lol..great job guys!

Sorry Maverick I didn't mean to make you think I thought you jacked my tubes or something. I just heard a whole lot where given out and thought maybe mine biaccedently landed in that pile. I know you wouldn't take my stuff man :)

ladymarshal - October 7, 2003 01:18 AM (GMT)

Actually, KNOWING people put tubes into the Kitty
we left a paintball box full of them for whomever may not have gotten them back.

so most likely Ten Shot your tubes are there.

there in the cubbies top left and also just for players info
the top cubbies are community property so if any guests or friends need a harness or but pack or whatever you can use them as needed but put them back when finished please. also theres extra cammies in the beauro in the back for those who need them same rule applies theres a laundrymat we can use to wash the clothes so we will launder them after use.

the lost & found items will be stuck on these shelves too.

rathbaster weve got the blue ones you loaned us a long time ago
so dont think we forgot you either.

I've loaned tubes to so many people and lost so many at camp Paintball I don't worry anymore. They all find their way home at some point. :)

At Castle, EqualsP comes up to me and hands me 3 more that he found the week before at Camp Paintball. Even far from home my tubes find me!

Oh and I have one of Jim's old school opaque black tubes that he loaned me that day towards the end of the games.

But no worry, the spares I bought for castle make my tube collection huge.
