Title: Thanks you

Machine - August 15, 2005 01:11 AM (GMT)
Thanks to all the people who helped in some way or another to put on the PP2. We travelled from Ottawa ( roughly 5 hrs) for the event and had a blast. For those who love senarios there was lots to do and there were lots of great costumes. EMR has always had great facilities and awesoem staff.
All of the players local and travellers alike made us feel welcome. This is an event where all Pumpers and stock players can get together and share stories and ogle all the "toys".
Soem of the gang will be up including myself for the Sept 2-4th game and in October forthe Castle.

See you all there and remember .........be good........... or at least be good at it!

You can pick your nose..you can pick your friends....... but you can't wipe your friends on the couch!

Hey it was a pleasure and a honor to share the feild with the infamous Can Con crew. I also had a great time hanging out with you guys in the motel parking lot saturday night. Can you say box sangria anyone?

golden220 - August 15, 2005 12:56 PM (GMT)
Yeah really, we should be thanking CanCon. They saved our arses quite a few times, and helped hold the defense together after we took Fort Tracer(Taber).

Hey, you guys were great on the field! I didn't make it around to everyone Sat. night, but I tried my best. Glad to hear I'll have another try to meet everyone in the Sept. extravaganza game! It should be a really good game as well. I'll have to make it a point to stop on by and say hello.

Thanks again to Simon for donating that great Phantom! I let my girlfriend use it for the rest of Sunday so I haven't personally tagged anyone with it (yet!) but I'm told that it's a great performer. It shot great on the range and everyone really likes it.

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys at the next game. Great people make for great games and you guys are some of the best! B)

No, thank you for bidding on it and adding to Joe's fund -_- . It was very cool to see it out on the field and getting used so soon.

The thing that makes these events so special for me is the people. It really was an awesome event, at a great field, with great attitudes from great people. I had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.

A special thanks to Jim and Missy Masse. I was just unpacking my stuff and took a good look at the maps that they made up. It had to have taken a lot of time and effort on their part for all of this. The maps were hand made by Missy for all the pre-regs. They were well done, on canvas with charred edges and hand scribed - each and every one. That's what, about 150 pre-regs??? That is a lot of work!

Also Missy and Jim made many if not all the props for the event. Jim was working on the props late into the morning hours when we arived at the event. These guys have tremendous dedication to the game and obviously put heart and soul into setting up these events. You are remarkable people.

Now that I'm an "official" PB Marshal I am so proud to be associated with you guys. You are great people, some of the best among us.

Also, I have to say that my "new guys" I brought along with me to this event were really impressed with all of us there. They were so impressed with all the good people they met, all the help and advice the received, and the general good spirit they noted to be present while there. They commented on those very points repeatedly at the event. Thanks to all involved for putting a good foot forward in this event and showing the people new to it all that we are some of the best folks involved in paintball.

Regards,

Six

The maps actually were of quite a bit of assistance to a lot of people. Since the EMR games always seem to take place in the speedball field/Bonehead's castle/stilt village, a lot of people just weren't as familiar with the "upper" portion of the field. The maps did help a lot. Plus, they were quite durable (being canvas and all). They didn't melt, bleed, disintegrate or otherwise self-destruct when subjected to the large ammounts of mud, sweat and paint present in most people's pockets. Plus, they were just classy!

Jim and Missy make the best props, hands down. From bags of fruit to the improvised "signposts" to the really cool 'clues' to the treasure, everything helped to reinforce the role-playing and made the game that much more fun.

Everyone really did their best to make this game so much fun to play. The only bad part is that we have to wait a whole year for the next one!

Thank you to all who participated, I enjoyed playing pball with you guys. Got to finally meet some of you and say hi to old friends. The heat was a killer and Sunday was the highlight of the weekend, especially the stockclass vs CA/DF games in Joint Fury/Tippman town. :D The maps were way cool, too bad I didn't have my compass on Saturday.

You only have to wait 6 months! I've heard rumors of a Pump Pandemonium South in Feb., the day before the tourney...I expect to see you all there! ;)

I had an awesome time. It was my first event at EMR, but I'll be back soon. A full weekend of pump was just insane. I loved it.

Thanks to all who made the great weekend possible.

Also, I would like to extended a thank you to two individuals who provided great mentorship to me over the weekend.

The first is Six, who I enjoyed talking to about modding guns and just paintball in general, but also for his skill and courage on the field. I often found myself fighting beside him.

The second is Rath. I never talked to Rath before this event, nor had even any inter-action with him other than posting in the same thread. I loved listening to his stories, talk about the Pubcrawlers, and fight off the bees inside Fort Tracer's Tower.

Golden, it was great to play with ya man, hopefully we can again sometime, you aren't too far away. Great job commanding, but you need to slow down, Underdog and I are smokers remeber! :D

easix6 - August 16, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
I forgot to mention it in my previous post, but thanks CrashSTP / ActionBob for your efforts in organizing the event.

Thanks as well to any and all others involved in bringing PP2 together as well as PP1.

I still had a blast at PP2 regardless of any "hitches" that occured. I'll be there next year and try to bring yet more people!

Thanks again all,

Six
